White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs today admitted that the questions about Barack Obama's eligibility to be president simply won't go away, even though he contends there are 10,000 things "more important" for Americans to worry about.
Gibbs appeared exasperated by the issue, even when it was raised by left-leaning pundit Bill Press, who phrased his interest this way: "Robert, I hate to bring this up but somebody has to Is there anything you can say that will make the birthers go away?"
"No," said Gibbs. "I mean, the God's honest truth is no. I mean, Bill, let's understand this and I almost hate to indulge in such an august setting as the White House and I mean this in seriousness the White House briefing room discussing the made-up, fictional nonsense of whether or not the president was born in this country.
"A year-and-a-half ago I asked that the birth certificate be put on the Internet because lord knows, you got a birth certificate and you put it on the Internet, what else could be the story?" Gibbs continued.
"Here's the deal, Bill. If I had some DNA, it wouldn't assuage those that don't believe he was born here. But I have news for them and for all of us: The president was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the 50th state of the greatest country on the face of the earth. He's a citizen," Gibbs said.
Gibbs then made reference to Les Kinsolving, WND's correspondent at the White House, who previously has been the only journalist at the briefings to raise that issue.

NONE OF WHICH ARE MENTIONED IN THE CONSTITUTION.
Hey,you got the spirit!I’ll give you that!Go for it.
“If I had some DNA, it wouldn’t assuage those that don’t believe he was born here.”
Am I the only one who saw that? What the hell does DNA have to do with where he was born?
"Is it getting hot in here?"
Tell your boss to show the birth certificate.
I wondered if anyone else noticed that
And to help him do so . . . tell him it would be "historic".
Staying on message about 0bama’s failings is what’s going to stop him, not chasing Birth Certificate nonsense. The ‘they’ that are afraid of the birth certificate issue are conservatives with sense who know we’re all going to be tarred and marginalized as ‘Birthers’ and then any legitimate attempt to stop 0bama’s agenda will be discredited.
It doesn’t matter if there is anything behind the birth certificate conspiracy theories or not. They’re not going anywhere, and are only a distraction from taking on 0bama’s policies. Our side is the only one that is going to take a hit on this politically if it continues to escalate. You may notice almost all of this ‘escalation’ has been artificial, on the part of the State-run media, as they look to change the subject on 0bama’s failing policies and falling popularity. The Birthers are now being used as a foil by 0bama and his media allies. Wake up.
Yeah.
By Obama’s own admission, he was born to his father, a Kenyan national , which makes him automatically a Kenyan/British subject, and therefore not a natural born U.S. citizen .
Hey Press Secretary Gibbs;
Obama could have been born in the White House and he’s still NOT a natural born citizen (although I believe he was born in Kenya).
Per Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, one must be a natural born American citizen to serve as President. Barack Obama is NOT eligible for the Presidency because he is not a natural born citizen. John A. Bingham, primary framer, 14th Amendment, states- Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen. Obama himself has stated that he is the son of a Kenyan- Kenya being a foreign sovereignty. Thus, Obama is not a natural born citizen even if he were actually born in Hawaii.
Do you know who Barack Obama is? Is he NOT a natural born citizen? Check these out-

Now Hawaii officials are saying that all birth certificates were destroyed in 2001. But on October 31, 2008, this contrary statement-
There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obamas official birth certificate. State law (Hawaii Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record. Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaii, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obamas original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.
This controversy was created by Obama and the MSM. If he was really born in the USA, it would have been easy for them to prove it, years ago. They have chosen to suppress background information about Obama, instead. This tends to make people suspicious.
Hey everybody;
Lets E-Mail CNN and thank Lou Dobbs for covering the Obama non natural born citizen issue. Ask them to continue covering it and require that Obama presents his original long form birth certificate to prove whether he is eligible to serve as President since he may not be a natural born citizen:

What was posted on the Internet was not a birth certificate and Gates knows it. It does take an expert to note that there was no seal and no signature. Nobody has seen an Obama birth certificate. We have been told his paternal grandmother has said she was present at his birth in Kenya. Debunk that Mr. Gates! We were also told that his brother in Kenya also said he was born there. If he was born in the USA, let’s see the proof.
Brett Baier just mentioned this tonight.
I am now totally convinced Obama is not, and never was eligible to be POTUS.
If he was, they would open up all that they have sealed.
What could be more important than to have someone elected President who knowingly was not constitutionally eligible for the office. Worse still who engaged in a conspiracy to hide that fact from the American people. This is a constitutional crisis.
Sounds like an obvious setup, no? I'd bet that Bill Press was primed to ask this question. And to ask it in exactly this way.
Never mind, this is going to backfire, big-time. Obama is making a serious mistake pushing these attacks.
