“They discarded the paper when they finished the switching over.” You keep putting that spin on this. Prove it. Prove that the state of Hawaii destroyed the paper documents that they made electronic file copies of. ... You can’t prove it because that is not the level of specificity the article claims. What the official could just as easily have been stating was that the state no longer goes to the paper files to make a copy because they have all of them copied into electronic imagery. And that is the more plausible meaning since it is in context of the comments regarding making a quicker copy to send out/give out to those requesting a copy.
The news report states that the State of Hawaii discarded the paper. I can only take the news that we have at face value until someone else comes up with someone who has another news report that says something like, “No, the State of Hawaii has stated that they put them into storage.” That hasn’t been said, What has been said is that they were discarded.
Now, you can believe it or not, but I’m just repeating what they said because the report also indicates that the staff called the State of Hawaii to find that out.
However, I’m sure that someone could get on the phone and call up the Vital Records division and find out and report back to us... :-)

I worked for a guy one time that “manufactured” his signature in a special way (and you couldn’t actually “read” it), so that it was just a bunch of scribbling, but it was unique to him and no one else could duplicate it. You couldn’t make out anything except the first letter of the first name and the first letter of the last name.... When he signed things, it was like he was “drawing” something... LOL
Now, you or I probably “sign” out names and people can mostly read the name. Take a look at the Notary there... you can actually read his name. But not Obama’s
So, anyway, I think that’s what some people do with their signatures, at a certain time, later on, if they want to... it’s kind of like a “signature” is a “drawing” for them...

That is why I would like to see Obama's signature on other documents from 25 years ago, say, from his high days and his days at Occidental and Columbia.
If Obama's signature on other documents from 25 years ago is similar to the one on his Selective Service form from about 25 years ago, then I would be satisfied.
But if, on the other hand, Obama's signature from 25 years ago was more similar to the signature found on the 2007 Arizona eligibility form, then I say that two different people signed the two different documents.
How did this document get released like this? Any signature forgerers out there, you now can copy the president’s handwritten signature...
I think you might have missed exactly what it was that I was saying about that. This is something that a person does later in life. And what I heard (about this kind of practice) is that it was something that a person does after he gets successful. So, they purposefully change their signature, and from then on, it’s completely different than anything that they’ve done in the past. That’s what I was trying to say, and give the example from this other guy that I worked for. (he sorta explained it to me... something that came out of a book, he said, about “successful people” ... LOL...).

All I can say is this: Maybe Obama did not change his signature from the time he was in high school in Hawaii to today, 2009.
My point is this: Let's look at Obama's signature from high school and his college days at Occidental and Columbia and see if his signature matches his signature on his Selective Service form or the one on his 2007 Arizona eligibility form, because to me, the two signatures look they were written by two different people.
Maybe, unlike your friend, Obama did not change his signature from his college days to the time he signed the Arizona eligibility form in 2007, nearly 25 years later.
So, if there is anyone out there who has a copy of Obama's signature from 25 years ago, please let us see it.

My dad was born in a shack, at least from what I could see of what was left of it, it was. No hospital and out in the country. He showed me the place, with only bare foundations left, out in the middle of nowhere. I guess that’s the kind of thing where you don’t have a birth certificate and you have to go somewhere and give the officials the information about it (since it was not in a hospital). And there was no midwife, from what I understand (for him, probably were some family members, but I’m only guessing).
And I’ve got two grandchildren not born in a hospital (at home), so I’ve never thought about their birth certificates, but I guess the same thing applies there, too (and with them, we’re talking only a mere few years ago...).
I suspect that there are quite a few, still born without birth certificates, these days. You’ve got to go somewhere and inform officials about a birth...
Not saying that this happened with Obama, because in his case, it was supposed to be in a hospital. I’m just saying that now that I think about it, I’ve got three people directly related to me that have not had birth certificates “officially” until going to government officials and supplying information to them and getting one that way.
The only way it could have been dealt with is if someone showed them the Long form of the birth certificate..or the CIA/NSA or some other secret group in the government got involved and said back off “matters of national security”

Babies are born in odd places...back of taxi cabs, etc. I don’t know how that works in all states.

Damn, I was born at home with no Doctor. Who knew?
Meanwhile, he was born in a hut in Kenya..or wherever it was. I think people are claiming it was a Hospital in Kenya.
It’s probably too late for this case, but the law needs to be clarified to say that “a person is deemed to NOT be a natural born citizen unless proven that he/she is” one.
