Here is video of Ann Coulter on with Geraldo Rivera last night saying that President Obama's Birth Certificate is "not an issue," and that it is just being pushed by a "few cranks" out there. Coulter blamed the Mainstream Media's lack of in-depth reporting on Obama for the rise of those who believe there has been a conspiracy to keep the truth from the American people on the issue of Obama's birth.
Geraldo criticized Lou Dobbs as being a "dope" for talking about the issue, and for his opposition to illegal immigration. Coulter disagreed with Geraldo about Lou Dobbs, but said he is wrong on the birth certificate issue. Mike Huckabee chimed in that Hillary Clinton would have used the issue against Obama in the primaries if there had been anything to the story. . . . . . (Watch Video)

My point is that it’s not a copy of Obama’s original birth certificate (Certificate of Live Birth). And that a picture on the internet taken at an oblique angle, partially shaded, is not an official record. Could be fake like Dan Rather’s document was.

The dollar amount Obama is supposed to be spending seems to be increasing all the time (over a million seems to be a popular figure these days), but it seems only to be an article of faith amongst the birthers. I haven't seen anyone providing any evidence that proves he is spending close to this amount of money.
None of the court cases brought so far have come close to the discovery phase -- all but one of them being dismissed for lack of standing (the other mooted). If this was because of the work of Obama's high powered lawyers, then where is that list of high-powered lawyers that represented him in those court cases?
You'll have to show me some solid evidence before I believe that anyone who represents Obama has spent a single dime "fighting to keep his birth certificate hidden."

You are too easily convinced. President Obama needs to show the BC and his college records. Besides, he is NOT natural born because his father was not a US citizen. He has the potential of having divided loyalties (as he has often demonstrated)....that was the original intent of the “natural born” requirement in the COTUS. The courts are too cowardly to address this.

Are you stupid? Natural born means born on United States soil. Hawaii in 1961 was a state, which, I believe, makes it United States soil unless something changed.

FactCheck.org has never had anything to do with Soros. All their funding comes from the Annenberg Foundation, whose board is made up of family members. I have no idea what political ideology they have, but Cheney himself quoted FactCheck.org during the 2004 election when rebutting Kerry's claims about the Bush record.
Soros did create a factcheck.COM site at the time (no doubt in order sow confusion) but that site no longer seems to be operation.

But why even spend the effort then? Or spend ay money at all? (You will admit it costing him soething, no?) If he has a official birth certificate that we have all already seen then why continue to fight to block it’s release.

I love Ann, personally. But I admit to embarrassment when someone I admire succumbs to such transparent propaganda. Ther IS no birth certificate, and I would expect Ann to be as curious and demanding as the rest of us. Bob

Who are these lawyers racking up millions of dollars in fees? What are their names? When and where did they appear in court to block discovery? Who do they work for? Who's paying them?
I suspect that Ann has been told that she would quickly lose air time if she supported the birthers.
And...I bet she is getting **lots** of e-mails from her readers about it.
If anyone one is “cranky” it is likely Ann, herself! She is being the “crank”, and projecting her own feelings on the birthers.
So then if lawyers names who have filed briefs in Court are shown to you then you will finally think that there is a legitimate cause to define the term ‘natural born citizen’?
I will look into it. I know I had already read at one point that part of Obama’s legal team on this issue were the same that had defended Islamic terrorists.
Of course there also is the Executive Order signed by Obama. Why?
Actually I've never really cared to see any candidate's birth certificate until now, because it wasn't an issue. It wasn't really an issue with me in Obama's case either, until I began to notice the lengths he was going to not to show it.
I'm not sure what it is that he's hiding, it may be personally embarrassing rather than legally embarrassing. But he seems to be sensitive about something on his birth certificate. To put this to rest I'd like him to release it and put this aside.
Look, if its something personal, he needs to get over it. The people involved are all dead and can't be embarrassed anymore. He's president of the United States so he has clearly overcome whatever it is in his past he's embarrassed of. If its a legal issue, though, we have a right to know.
And, in a related issue, I'd like to know what citizenship he claimed when he was in college.
That, I think, should put this to rest. Certainly it will for me.
Will that transform me into an Obama supporter? No, of course not. My problems with him are on several levels, primarily ideological, but also in reference to his character and experience.
But certainly this issue will be put away, I assume, if he'll produce the document and answer what citizenship he claimed when he was college age.
If I'm right, and he claimed foreign citizenship at that time, he probably won't be immediately removed from office because his party controls congress. Its not even clear what the legal ramifications would be. But we have a right, I think, to know. Certainly we have the right to demand an answer. He can refuse to answer, but he'll have to keep refusing to answer and that in itself speaks volumes.
