The dollar amount Obama is supposed to be spending seems to be increasing all the time (over a million seems to be a popular figure these days), but it seems only to be an article of faith amongst the birthers. I haven't seen anyone providing any evidence that proves he is spending close to this amount of money.
None of the court cases brought so far have come close to the discovery phase -- all but one of them being dismissed for lack of standing (the other mooted). If this was because of the work of Obama's high powered lawyers, then where is that list of high-powered lawyers that represented him in those court cases?
You'll have to show me some solid evidence before I believe that anyone who represents Obama has spent a single dime "fighting to keep his birth certificate hidden."

But why even spend the effort then? Or spend ay money at all? (You will admit it costing him soething, no?) If he has a official birth certificate that we have all already seen then why continue to fight to block it’s release.

Nice try, tyke. The fact that the cases have been quashed and mooted speaks volumes about the skill of the Team Obama's Legal Department.
In other words, their "Motions to Dismiss," were ruled upon favorably for their client. We'll never know how many hours were billed in the preparation and filing of those motions. But we are talking about legal services that can cost up to many thousands per hour ... and then some for expenses.
Furthermore, tyke, we have no idea who is picking up the whole tab, so tracking your dime is not easy. The figure of about $1 million is very reasonable.
