You can’t! The hispanics will become the new majority.
USA will join the ranks of all south and central American
countries in terms of living standards. Conservatives will
become a small minority and become irrelevant.

Like it or not, that is clearly the trend. Once people
become dependent on handouts, it is impossible to change
that mentality without force.

Well, see number 77. Like I said earlier, it may take a couple of generations ... but Latinos are able to understand Conservatism.

Latino politicians in this country, on the other hand, PANDER to the poor and try to win votes by promising their constituency perks. They are vote-pimps.

Sorry, don’t know too much about Honduras or the coup there. Mexico has been a socialist state since its inception IIRC.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
Samuel Adams

In other words, they have to pander to rapidly-growing groups that the Democrats will always out-pander to. They have to become more and more like Democrats.

Not really. They just have to point out that what they do, they do for everybody. When Reagan pulled us out of the recession, he did it for everybody. When the Cold War and the threat of a nuclear holocaust between the US and Soviet Union ended, they ended for everybody. When GOP policies succeed, everybody wins.

Republicans like Jim DeMint and Marco Rubio can solve this problem.

Very true, but unfortunately, the bulk of the electorate is not dealing in reality because they've swallowed whole the propaganda fed them, and many of the immigrants we've allowed in are only interested in what they will receive at the expense of the working class. Reminding them of reality will not change their votes.

Hmmm... Young people... A famous, historical dead dude once said:

“If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain.”

That would be Sir Winston Churchill. Give those youngsters a decade or two, a good chunk of them will come around.

Older folks tend to vote more conservative; as the population ages, I think we can make gains overall as long as the message gets out.

No it has not. With all due respect.

Remember the last presidential election? It was a blue knuckle election. I can’t remember the Liberal clown who was running. But the photos of his followers ... all poor campensinos who filled the zocolo. And the current president who won, his followers all well dressed, wealthy.

A conservative runs Mexico now.

BTW, if you like a lot of action you might want to follow Honduras. A classic fight between Liberal and Conservative.

And we’re winning ... but not if Obama has anything to say about it.

How do we deal with the numbers game? More illegals, more immigrants, more minorities ... some of them can vote. They want a government that gives them stuff. How do we break the numbers game?

Start a Protestant revival movement, with the exception of blacks, protestantism means conservative minorities.

Yes it does, but with the people Zogby seems to hang with, it will not be just the GOP facing extinction, it will the Nation. Wake-up Americans and begin to understand just what the current administration is doing. It is destroying America.

RINO/Moderate alert!!!

Basically, the GOP has done EXACTLY what Zogby recommends over the past 6 years. And results are the condition of the party now. If the GOP wants to pander more and more, it will be extinct.

The GOP should promote IDEAS and VALUES like strong defense, police, small government/regulations, business friendly, etc. and they will attract people across all of those demographic lines. That is what Reagan did and got and held those Reagan Democrats in 1980 and 1984.

What Zogby misses are the growing fractures at the DNC. People across the country are now realizing en mass that the dems are not what they said they were during the campaign. The dems were vague in rhetoric and spoke only in platitudes. The reality is Cap + Trade as well as Government run health care. The ever increasing intrusion of the feds in taking over companies and industries has led to 37 states in involve the 10th Amendment of states rights. Zogby doesn’t even see this.

True the GOP has no voice now but that will change. IMHO, I think that both parties are in huge trouble. They are being run by individuals who don’t believe in representative government as we know it. The parties are for sale to the highest bidder. If the money and resulting influence come from Asia or Middle East, then so be it. The parties and a good number of politicians are in it for themselves and will do and say anything to get and stay in power. Just look at Arlen Spector. These politicians are drug addicts and power is their drug of choice.

The parties’ antics are affecting our money, jobs and way of life. They could care less if it is an adverse effect on us. “How can we fool then today?” is what their attitude is to the electorate. They are more concerned about getting power over us and blaming their failed policies on others.

A political revolution is brewing. I think both parties could be extinct in the not too distant future.

I suspect saying a conservative runs Mexico would be like saying a “conservative” runs America if McCain had won in 2008 or conservatives run Britain when they win in 2010.

Mexico has problems to surmount that are enormous. I think you can see that.

Just believe that generally, wealthy people believe in commerce, capitalism, trade and the like. Poor people just want handouts, they want relief from their daily burden.

Wealthy people and those who believe in Capitalism, trade, commerce run Mexico today.

I am afraid that you are right...water and tyranny run down hill. Boiling a frog principle and all that.

My "peaceful" solution is to diminish the effect of the deadbeat vote.

The simple requirement to produce a tax return showing that you actually paid some taxes would go a long way to straighten thing out. Otherwise, we are headed to Zimbabwe status...or CWII....if there are enough producers remaining who give a shiite.

The Democratic Party was on the verge of extinction in 2005, but it gave one last, all-out, over-the-top push.

“To a man, they think OJ was innocent, set up.”

That’s why political correctness has to go out the window. You have to be able to say to them, “What the hell are you thinking? Are you making your assessment based on race? Do you really think that white people are out to get blacks? Who set him up, and why?”

People think that the Hispanic vote goes to democrats but in reality the 1/3rd of Hispanics that are Protestant Christians are about 50/50 with the parties, with 56% of them voting republican in 2004 and 52% of them voting democrat in 2008.
