Sorry, don’t know too much about Honduras or the coup there. Mexico has been a socialist state since its inception IIRC.

Remember the last presidential election? It was a blue knuckle election. I can’t remember the Liberal clown who was running. But the photos of his followers ... all poor campensinos who filled the zocolo. And the current president who won, his followers all well dressed, wealthy.
A conservative runs Mexico now.
BTW, if you like a lot of action you might want to follow Honduras. A classic fight between Liberal and Conservative.
