If we could get millions of Americans to march on Washington, what would we do?

Yet somehow I’ve never been arrested for anything in my entire life. Perhaps, just perhaps, I’m not the criminal you believe I am?

My FRiend, I’m not on the wrong side of the argument.

I have nothing against Jim’s vision. Jim is doing the best he can, and I congratulate him for that. However, I have no faith in this rabble remaining peaceful. Now perhaps Jim is right, and I’m wrong, in which case I must surely look like a fool, but I’m afraid that’s not the case. I’m afraid Jim’s peaceful vision will be swept away in mere moments, and the resulting chaos and violence will scar the nation for life.

There are FReepers who know where I live. I'm sure that one of you could probably glean that information and murder me as I go out the door to work one morning. Lacking any powers of precognition, there isn't much I can do about it, other than make my family aware of the danger, and pray that you sick bastards aren't so far gone that you'd murder my wife and children as well.

And Jim, now that you can see that at least one nutbar is willing to kill me BEFORE anything comes to blows, do you still think everyone's intentions are peaceful?

This filthy slander is as disgusting as it gets. Absolutely as disgusting and cowardly as it is unfounded and unwarranted.

Slander would indicate an untruth. The truth is that this FReeper asked for my home address so a contest could be started to take me out. Jim is more than capable of verifying the veracity of that claim.

This is true and necessary in a republic but the contrary actions must always go towards upholding the Constitution.

What we have now is deliberate actions to "go around" the Constitution.

In such cases, the Supreme Court is obliged to rule such legislation unconstitutional. The check is in the Constitution. It needs to be exercised.

“Throw all the Bums Out” would make a great slogan for the movement!

Talk about throwing things out one has to make sure, in these delicate situations, that one doesn’t throw the proverbial ‘baby’ out with the bath water — if you know what I mean.

Forty five years of subversion against America from the far left will not be undone in a day.

Watch everything (on youtube) by X-KGB operative, Youri Bezmenov, about the subversion of the west.

The KGB and the brain washing of the West

Youri Bezmenov - Communist Psywar (Part 1)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrI-S6g-PgM&feature=related

Obama is the culmination — the EFFECT — of this sort of subversion.

Obama’s just putting the last nails in the coffin.

Our elected government officials — who are supposed to be OUR(’the peoples’)servants — now bow down and serve foreign and disparate interest... interest inimical to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Rather, as the aforementioned ‘officials’ enjoy the above we face the prospect of a circumscribed ‘life,’ economic — if not literal — slavery, and diminishing happiness.

They are traitors plain and simple.

Throw the Bums out, indeed!

Another blatant lie. I NEVER tried to get your stinking address or asked for it or even wondered about it. YOU are the freak who threatened me and at least one other poster, then suggested I wanted to kill your wife and children. What is WRONG with you?

Stinking lies and slander and more lies.

“Maybe my proposal is not the answer”

Know the constraints first and then you can optimize based on alternatives. Can you at least agree on a few basic constraints:
1. We live in a democratic Republic, and therefore success in implementing any policy requires winning hearts and minds.
2. If we support the Constitution and rule of law, then we will not doing anything that goes outside either.
3. Conclusion: Whatever the goals, the methods used to reach them will be peaceful and democratic processes, that will work in supporting a majority pro-freedom coalition majority.

“it’s going to require something much greater than business as usual.”

What if we learned from the Left and adopted their tactics and methods? Within the above constraints, there are MANY ‘not business as usual’ actions. Melting the phone lines, like was done on immigration bill, was one example.

More powerful would be a massive protest.

One million people in Washington DC on 9/12, who stage a protest and then do a SIT-IN at Congress and SHUT IT DOWN via Civil Disobedient actions and peaceful obstruction of Congressional activities, and a peaceful protest outside the White House - the largest since Vietnam War .... THAT would make a difference.

Far less was needed to shut down HillaryCare.

Melas,

What do you think would happen if Jim ever supported violence?

If you are smart you know where this ends...history has made this painfully clear. You can NEVER advocate violence because the police state would never allow it.

I am not saying the underlying process that Jim has proposed has violence as part of it however as I said earlier history is clear. It is unfortunate and I pray that we never see the day but this ultimately ends in a form of civil war - just look at ACORN to see what we are in for.

We need to be able to have frank discussions but unfortunately there are people that are selling our country out and we need to be smart about dealing with them.

I never said you did. You should reread the post to you. I posted a single response to you and hotlead61. Hotlead61 asked for it, as I quoted.

And I did not threaten you. You called me a coward, and I said, “Make no mistakes Buckwheat, lock the two of us in a phone booth and you’d be the one begging for mercy.”

I agree...we need 10 million people in DC...that should be the goal or MORE!!!

Let’s see them arrest 10 million people.

Let’s let Barney Frank, et al see what they have created...a completely split country...those that do against those that thing they should have...

Disgusting and cowardly. Exactly the despicable type I was talking about.

We're not there yet, but if we get there, you ought to seriously consider where you want to be. Our situation is getting critical very quickly. Choose your side carefully, and remember the words of Samuel Adams...

Melas, What do you think would happen if Jim ever supported violence?

Instant crackdown on FR?

If you are smart you know where this ends...history has made this painfully clear. You can NEVER advocate violence because the police state would never allow it.

Why do you thing I'm so against it in the first place? I know exactly how this begins, plays out, and end. It starts with a good guy like Jim with great intentions. He gets the ball rolling, it gains momentum and builds. However, under the surface more violent personalities are at work, and before you know it they're in charge, and Jim's out in the cold. It ends with lots of innocent blood in the streets. Is that really what you want? American against American, brother against brother? We've done it before and it was ugly enough with weapons that were primitive by today's standards. Surely you do not want to go there.

I think we need to think about everything that is being said on this thread.

This is a very serious situation facing our country and we have to stop this crap amongst ourselves.

Every post we make we should consider the source and also think about why FR is so important - it is one of the few places where we can discuss our ideas and thoughts.

NO MORE THAN EVER WE NEED TO UNITE. DON’T FEED THE TROLLS.

Everyone chill out and let’s get organized...spend every minute you can convincing EVERYONE you know to protest in DC!!!

You don’t adhere to the Constitution by trying to undo elections and repeal Amendments with a mob. If we truly revere the Constitution then we must must abide by its system of elections. If Obama were to declare himself dictator and not allow elections (or something of that nature) than we could Constitutionally resort to mobs and force but at the moment to do so would be to make ourselves the destroyers of the Constitution.

Jim is exercising his right to free speech and DAMN IT he should be able to do it!

There is nothing to be against here. Jim is absolutely right in his positions and his right to speak freely about it. It doesn’t matter if you agree or not. We need to UNITE and get to DC in September that is all that matters!!!

Ok, so you say “you’ve overstepped”. A movement cannot exist based on one unspecific complaint. THAT’S just a mob.

At this point it looks like many would advocate for a armed family march on DC. To what? Seriously.

To what? Come to blows? Exchange fire? Just shout angrily and go home.

And seriously quoting “The tree of liberty?” without the rest? Do you think we’re boneheads? Here’s the rest... “...must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

So you really think it’s so far gone that we should have a march on DC to refresh the tree of liberty with actual blood? Of whom? Me? You?

While I think the idea of a March is fine...count me OUT on the whole “blood of patriots and tyrants” thing. It has NOT gone THAT far. And I certainly won’t bring the children, if that’s what some of you are advocating.

We’d march to make a statement. We’d march to show them numbers of us who want REAL change. We’d march to scare the boops out of our elected officials and get them to listen to us. We’d march to unite. We’d march to show the rest of America that there is a cause here and it is THEIR cause, too.

But I don’t like what some are implying...I understand that there’s a lot of anger. But someone needs lead the charge to channel it in a law-abiding and productive manner.

“Obama is only part of the problem. As I stated previously, the federal government is out of control. They have usurped states’ rights by completely ignoring the 10th amendment.”

My point remains that the root of the problem is that people have acceded to it.

“The federal government was intended to have limited and well defined powers and responsibilities. They have instead grown into a monster which destroys everything/everyone who gets in its way. They show more concern for terrorists’ and illegals’ rights than they do for hard-working tax-paying citizens.”

If 100% of the hard-working tax-paying citizens refused to vote for ANY Democrat or ANY supporter of the Obama agenda, or ANY politician who voted for leviathan Federal government, heck if we could get 70% of them on your side ... you’d be in great shape. But you have this bizarre reality - millions of such people voted for Obama.

if people want to play the chumps, if they are indoctrinated with white liberal guilt to be a chump, they’ll vote like chumps.

As I said, there is no constitutional crisis. The ultimate failure is the failure of VOTERS to do the right thing and vote for liberty. Educating fellow citizens to even understand and acknowledge your viewpoint is the first necessary step. otherwise you are going out on a limb and trying to cut it off.
