WASHINGTON, DC-U.S. Congressman Mike Pence released the following statement in response to the news that the Democrat-majority Rules Committee had rejected the 'Broadcaster Freedom Amendment' which would have prevented the Federal Communications Commission from reinstating the so-called 'Fairness Doctrine' and enacting proposed broadcast localism regulations for the next fiscal year. All Democrats present voted against allowing the amendment to the Financial Services Appropriations Bill, which funds the FCC, on a final vote of 7-4.

Not sure why this couldn’t get passed when the GOP was in control. Pense has been pushing this awhile. Of course the Dems are not going to vote against having a state run media when they control it.

Collectivists, historically, always use state power, when they achieve it, to silence, punish, and exterminate ideological opposition.
Know it. Plan accordingly.

Pence does not bother to inform those who turned to his internet site just who the Democrats are who voted against his bill. This strikes me as the usual Republican candy-ass approach to politics — the unwillingness to call out your opponents. I note that Jim DeMint of South Carolina is tired of working with the pack of fascists in the Senate and has decided to go for the jugular whenever possible. I wish Pence would comprehend that he is at war.

Yeah, “I’m darn disappointed in this, really darn disappointed. I may even go on Hannity’s show and tell everyone how darn disappointed I am, because I’m darn disappointed. Uh, but we’ll probably just let it go, wouldn’t want to stir things up or anything. But to reiterate, I’m darn disappointed...”

If the devil can be seen on earth, he can be seen in the liberal democratic party. Let’s say it while we can - they are demons from hell and will pay for what they are doing one day. Lord, please let me see that day before I go!

Pence knew this would happen, this was more about forcing them to go on-record.

When will they go after the internet?Of course. Their goal seems to be: We have less freedom than China and we're proud of it.
