"How employment numbers are going to respond is not year clear," the president said on a day when he was headed to Michigan, home of a particularly battered economy. "My expectation is that we will probably continue to see unemployment tick up for several months."

Oh, so THAT was the intent of the stimulus when you said it was working! Whew—and here I thought you were just clueless!

Promises, promises. In the spring, the Messiah said unemployment won’t rise above 8%.

Obama on July 2, 2009:
U.S. President Barack Obama said on Thursday there were signs that the “economic storm” that has made millions jobless was waning, but warned that it would still take the United States many months to recover.
Ten days later...
The recovery will take years not months.
Barack Obama on July 9, 2009:
Obama: Recovery Will Take Years Not Months.
“It was, from the start, a two-year program, and it will steadily save and create jobs as it ramps up over this summer and fall.”
To: Kartographer
So apparently the plan is to set the bar lower and lower until they can say that economy has exceeded expectations.

“My expectation is that we will probably continue to see unemployment tick up for several months.”
::::::::
Remember what this lying bastard said -— “We must pass the STIMULUS BILL since it will keep unemployment at 8 percent”...of course that was a crock since his money grab has nothing to do with the economy or stimulating it. He and his ilk are STILL SITTING ON THE MAJORITY OF IT saving it for the 2010 and 2012 elections.
And now he wants to steal (borrow) more from the taxpayers to fund his socialist takeover. Good money after bad? Where is the logic Obama? There is none. It is simple robbery for the socialist takeover agenda.

Confuscious say - when you make trade agreements that export jobs then you are gonna get unemployment.

Great Leader: The stimulus, that we need RIGHT NOW, will keep unemployment below 8%.
Great Leader: We don't know how high unemployment will be.
Great Leader: Down is up and up is down.
Great Leader: Green is red and black is white.
It is all true because Great Leader said it.

"It's going to take years to clean up the mess from the failed economic policies of the Bush administration, so you'd better elect me to two terms to give me a chance to fix things!"
Yeah, that's about the spin of it.

Average recovery time from a recession is 18 months. This one began in December 2007. If Obama had done nothing, we would be coming out now. Instead we're heading for a jobless recovery & stagflation. Nice job, Marxist knothead, and all your Commie cronies -- everything's going according to plan.

"My expectation is that we will probably continue to see unemployment tick up for several months." Obama revision number__. That's not what he said when he was asking Congress for his stimulus bill. But he might want to consider the possibility that unemployment were continue to worsen for years, not months. A safe bet if he's able to get his cap and tax, and socialized medicine bills passed.
