The leading Judiciary Committee Republican is charging that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor is "out of the mainstream" of legal thinking and has a very activist judicial profile.
Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama made the assertion just hours before Sotomayor, who would be the third woman to join the court, was to face her initial confirmation hearing.

Good thing they cleared up the whole name tag thing for her, otherwise she might have thought “uh, oh, they are wise to me” and left the building...

You’ll be able to get the replay on CSPAN this evening.
BTW Megan is going to key us in on how she and Sotomayor ended up wearing the same outfit today.....Isn’t Megan’s a maternity top?

Why can’t Republicans remember to use the qualifier “so-called” whenever they use democrat language! By not using it, in this case Lindsay Graham, definitely sounds like he is agreeing with his opponents and will be so-quoted on StateRunMedia news shows.

Michelle Malkin | 11:33 AM:
Sen. Graham rebuffed that by pointing out Republican support for Miguel Estrada and then challenged Sotomayors ethnic-centered speeches. But his main point:
Unless you have a complete meltdown, you will be confirmed.
Graham rambles on about elections having consequences. Says he doesnt know how hell vote. But I think Grahams Kabuki act is rather transparent. Hell wait for Sotomayor to reassure him that she can be impartial, and after all his obligatory sound and fury, he will vote for her.

Its not helping that shes wearing the wrong color for her skin tone......
It’s not like she is dressing for any guy. She has been a stealth lesbian since her divorce eons ago. That’s my take. Screwing some hard working fire fighters? Not a problem!
