The infamous t-shirt article: Miss Obama's peacenik T-shirt sends a message to G8 leaders
Daily Mail UK ^ | July 9, 2009 | By Charlotte Spratt

Her father had just won agreement from the Russians to cut back on the world's stockpiles of nuclear weapons. And Barack Obama's eldest daughter was obviously keen to make her own statement on the issue - even if it was merely a fashion statement.

Just 48 hours after the U.S. President signed agreements with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev to reduce weapon stores, 11-year-old Malia Obama was spotted wearing not one, but two T-shirts with an anti-nuclear message.

She wore the tops emblazoned with the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament's famous logo as her father prepared for three days of G8 talks in Italy.

First there was a grey T-shirt bearing the CND logo to visit the Colosseum in Rome with her mother Michelle and seven-year-old sister Sasha. Then during the visit she swapped it for a mottled white and grey top also bearing the logo.

The symbol, designed for the CND in 1958, is now widely used to signify peace and is also an international sign for anti-war protesters.

Mr Obama spent two days in Moscow this week meeting president Dmitry Medvedev and prime minister and former president Vladimir Putin.

There the American and Russian leaders agreed a landmark deal to reduce their stockpiles of nuclear weapons.

That is a tagline if I ever saw one. Tremendous.

Unlike some people here (some -- not all!), I am not feeling guilt pangs or apologizing to Media Matters for it's bashing Jim Thompson [sic] and his Free Republic.

As Rush Limbaugh said, our side will not be able to fight as effectively dirty as the other side, but fight more fiercely we can and there will be some Alinsky hits along the way (I'm paraphrasing of course, but that is something of what maha Rushie said).

Our side is going to have to fight nastier (such as filing ethics complaints against them; etc.) and there may be some misteps along the way.

We should not wallow in paralyzing guilt feelings. And I don't see Liberal condemnations about calling Sarah Palin's kid her grandaughter plus as mentally retarded person; etc., as they do in the Liberal blogs.

The First Family represents America.

The most salient point.
The children are merely a reflection of their environment and upbringing. The real culprits are the bitter, repulsive and poorly clad Michelle and her accomplice - the effete, duplicitous, marginally bright Barack.

But enough about these political barnacles. Let's have a peek into the future, when a very attractive family will be representing our nation -

The Kos Kiddies are watching us. Everyone play nice! ____________

Let them watch away. They are deranged. Maybe we should gather up years of their hate filled posts from their stupid little *diaries* and send them to all of the media outlets. KOS is a joke. Most people have never even heard of them. They're just mad because they see that all they were promised was nothing but a campaign speech called Hope and Change and Yes We Can. They were too stupid to ask what those slogans meant and now they realize it was hope and change and yes we can for the obama's.

They see the polls, they know the American people are have figured him out in 6 short months, the media is not giving him free passes, the liberal sites are complaining that the MSM isn't covering his non stop campaign speeches... they are angry and will get angrier. Get used to it. Ignore them, they won't silence anyone with their bullying tactics. They are chicken livered little cowards who try to find things and scream racist to try to shut people up. Typical Alinsky tactics.

You want to see vile, vulgar, despicable things on the Internet, go no further than the liberal websites. Just search for Bush Chimp, Bush Chimpy, Palin, Bristol, etc. and you will see the double standard. They did it for 8 long years and they can kiss my ass. They can dish it but they can't take it.

I followed your link to the site and tried to read the comments attached to their article but my web filter blocked access to them. Must be some bad stuff in there.

Remember when Jimmy Carter, I think during a debate, said: “Ah assed Aimee what wuz the bigges’ problem facing the world and she replied: ‘Nuclear disarmanent’”

Amy must have been about 11 at the time and everyone laughed at Carter’s lie

Lol. I see they found offense to this:

It's funny how NO ONE is wearing boob-belts in America or in Europe. It seems that only Mrs. O and the SRM like the way she looks. I guess we ain't "suckas" after all. ; )

Oh nos. Someone on Free Republic had the audacity to criticize Ms. Usurper's "fashion sense". (gasp)

On the plus side, we now get to watch David Shuster try and pronounce "boob-belts".

Even if they cost $1,000.00, so what? These are kids. The kids are tools and the parents are using them to create impressions. In this regard, the BO’s ought to be the focus - not the kids.

Agreed, but the Bush daughters made a lot of stupid mistakes, too, and they were of the age of reason. These are kids, plain and simple. The BO’s, OTOH, are scum.

How funny! They’re trying to figure out what a boob belt is! She wears one every day, not to hard to figure that out. One even looked it up in the urban dictionary.

And they don’t like the comment about “peace through superior fire power”.

Actually, comments aren’t too bad, I expected much worse.except for the original poster who said we were racist for complaining about her clothes? How on earth would that be racist? I have a strong feeling they have no idea what racist is. Probably too young to understand what it really was like. A word used to often has no meaning.

I agree and its no accident she was wearing these during this time. No freaking way did she pick out that shirt herself.

Zero is using his kids for political purposes! How stupid do they think we really are? She just happened to pick out these shirts to wear at this particular time AND THEY JUST HAPPENED TO LET HER WEAR THEM!

KOS - Hey there folks in NeverNeverland. Mrs. O’s fashion sense is poor. Have you seen anyone copy her? No One is silly enough to wear a boob-belt? And what's with those non-matching, clashing layers? No we are not “suckas” and we will not copy Mrs. O’s style of dress. You do remember that imitation is the surest form of flattery? And no one is imitating Mrs. O. So there!

Please tell her she would look absolutely stunning in simple long black Audrey Hepburn skinny slacks. Instead of a wearing the famous Audrey Hepburn black turtleneck she could wear a sleeveless crew neck black top. A strand of pearls would finish it off absolutely perfectly. Now that would be a class act.

Also KOS, since I have your attention - what's with that TWO TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT FOR THIS YEAR ALONE? Are you guys absolutely insane? And if you really do believe CO2 is a pollutant, please by all means stop exhaling. And what's with forcing California Building Codes on the rest of the nation? Again are you guys insane? And KOS, this is for you personally - if you think Greece's healthcare system is so great - move back. BTW, are you KOS kids aware that 35,000 elderly DIED in the European Heat Wave of 2003? So much for Socialism!

I’m quite sure you are wrong. Many reputable sources I’ve read have made it clear Michelle is a Super-Glam Fashion Icon. Vast armadas of Chinese container ships are headed our way filled to the brim with with boob-belts as we speak.

LOL! Well, you would think they would already be in stores? I haven't seen them yet. Have you? I mean she's been wearing those over sized belts for months now. You really do need to stop paying attention to SRM (state run media - for those KOS kids), they are trying to convince us that wearing those over sized belts around our chests looks so good! Nonsense! : )
