The Daily Kos has a post up quoting MSNBC personality David Shuster's Twitter page stating his show will be covering the controversy over Free Republic and comments about Malia Obama:
@mikelord @thejoshuablog. We will cover this monday: http://bit.ly/3pqS7M. But follow @joetrippi for what can be done on-line. about 2 hours ago from web
The embedded link goes to the Vancouver Sun hit piece posted earlier to FR
Over at Twitter, the leftists are all in a hypocritical lather over FR.
David Shuster is on sometime mid-afternoon East Coast time Monday-Friday.
Agreed
Bashes Palin and defends the Obama's. Nope, not me.
Thank you for the support. :-)
I mean that. I know I sound like I have no problem being a lone wolf here but it is upsetting sometimes being ganged up on. It's nice to know that I'm not alone here.
I don’t recall the handle from when I joined.. But back then, I was a newbie, just tryin to learn the ropes.
So is he angry that some here are stealing his tactics?
And I too wish that the president's family would always dress in their Sunday's best while in public on foreign trips, but I still do not think that that justifies the broad "ghetto" insults, especially when a grade school kid is involved.
Problem solved.
Definitely in agreement.
You are lying. You said you would have to dig through thousands of threads to find such a post.
I could tell that by looking at the several hundred closeup shots of the house and grounds that are on the net. Someone had REMOVED every bush or tree that could yield a switch for a young child to cut and hand to the parent for use in punishing the child.
My initial thoughts were Obama himself had encountered problems with his stepdad along those lines in Indonesia ~ which is why he returned to Hawaii "early" to be raised by his grandparents.
That would mean that Michelle was the switch freak and Obama the protector.
Looks like I was absolutely correct if Mother Dearest is buying all the good stuff for herself and giving her daughter rags ~ but I bet it's just ONE DAUGHTER ~ the other gets shiny patent leather shoes, frilly dresses, and even more expensive hair arrangement.
There's a name for this syndrome.
I see no value to the conservative movement in allowing racists to make silly racist comments and looking the other way.
Convervatism is the philosophy of ideas, not petty personal attacks. It is tempting to respond in kind to the liberals, but as the saying goes, never wrestle with a pig, you’ll both get dirty, and he’ll enjoy it.
If you disagree with 90% of the ideas I espouse, you probably aren’t as conservative as you think. However, it could well be you only read threads where I oppose your viewpoint, which may still mean you are less conservative than you think, but could explain your skewed opinion.
BTW, the term “wonderful caring liberal” is an oxymoron. I expect liberals to be racists, bigots, and to say hurtful things about children and make stupid childish comments about people’s looks. I expect better of conservatives.
He's going to need a real big truth squad. New terms
In retrospect, JR should have just pulled the thread and been done with it. Apologizing never, ever works. Ask George Allen.
Are we scared yet?
From NewsBusters.org, June 9, 2009...
Seven months after Election Day, and the attacks on Sarah Palin keep coming.
On Monday, CBS's David Letterman on the "Late Show" shamelessly went after the Alaska governor and her family during his opening monologue, as well as in his "Top Ten" list.
Top Ten Highlights Of Sarah Palin's Trip To New York
10. Visited New York landmarks she normally only sees from Alaska
9. Laughed at all the crazy-looking foreigners entering the U.N.
8. Made moose jerky on Rachael Ray
7. Keyed Tina Fey's car
6. After a wink and a nod, ended up with a kilo of crack
5. Made coat out of New York City rat pelts
4. Sat in for Kelly Ripa. Regis couldn't tell the difference.
3. Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson's always talking about
2. Bought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her "slutty flight attendant" look
1. Especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman
"One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez."

You clearly have a different sense of humor than some here, I was watching some of the old Dean martin Roast’s and man some of the things that were said on there makes you cringe as it would be so inappropriate now. But i think you may have to separate true racism from people who just have a bad or different sense of humor..
Though, I have always been a big fan of Don Rickles.
The thread was pulled.
As far as I know, theres no Sarah Palin test for whether someone is a conservative. Ive been here long before I knew who Sarah Palin was and Ill be here after shes ridden into the sunset. I dont see her as a serious person. So sue me.
I don't think there should be a "Palin Test" either. I just know that "You can't beat somebody with nobody," and I'm always interested in what rising star Republican governor - the only realistic source of candidates who might actually defeat a sitting president - you think may be "somebody." Senators - and anyone who attained Statewide office more than ten years ago - are not realistic choices in '12. We need a governor who is a fresh face (of course some senators have won - but only when facing another senator, or a VP. And only 3 sitting VPs have won presidential elections; GHW Bush was the first in about 150 years).I want more from a presidential candidate than Palin has yet showed - but I want a lot of what she offers.
Just what did you guys do with the real Saquin?
Look, it’s not my job to open your eyes. If you truly are a person who spends some time here and reads the threads, the fact that there have been many racist comments about the Obamas should NOT be a huge shock to you (unless you see that kind of thing as normal and acceptable?)
