Latest ethics complaints should be 'a wake-up call,' Palin says Posted: 01:50 PM ET
From CNN Associate Producer Martina Stewart
(CNN) The two new ethics complaints filed against Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in the past week should be a wake-up call, the former Republican vice presidential candidate says.
In a statement released late Friday night, Palins office announced that two more ethics complaints had been filed against the governor in the week since she made her surprise announcement that she plans to step down later this month -including one complaint filed on Friday.
Although the governor would not have thought it possible, the latest complaint rises to a new level of absurdity in alleging that she has been paid for interviews that she has given to the news media, Palins chief of staff Mike Nizich said in a release announcing the filing of the recent complaints.
It is amazing to me that anyone could think that, let alone put their name behind it and once again seek to distract state officials and needlessly increase their work load. The state is losing the value of some of its expenditures when public servants are pulled away from important assignments to deal with far-fetched and mean-spirited allegations, added Nizich.
For her own part Palin used the leveling of two more ethics complaints against her in a weeks time to call for a more productive political discourse in her state.

Time for Sarah to thrown some bleach on DNC dirty operations
Word on the street is that Sarah passed gas once. Waiting for the pollution complaint to be filed...
Go get em, Sarah!
I am so sorry to admit that I too am beginning to think this way.
time to start filing malicious prosecution charges against the people trying to bankrupt her
she needs to counter sue immediately each and every time
How is the investigation into the Church fire arson going? Wonder if anything new there...haven’t seen it...I have read reports that say all the exits, plus the exterior of the church had flammable liquid on them...don’t they have better things to “investigate” up there?
Somebody needs bitch-slapped real bad.
IMO, Palin’s approach should be fight fire with fire. Her problem was having to answer any and all charges, however frivolous, burning up lawyer’s billable hours. The cost of charging was very small when compared to the defense of them.
When she is out of office she can sue for damages, win or lose, it will cost the complainant substantially. She can initiate charges of her own, costing the defendant in real money.
In other words, the playing field will be leveled. He critics will have ample skin in the game that they don’t have now.
I cant quite get your parallel between the idiots filing frivolous lawsuits against SP and Thomas Becket refusing to knuckle under to King Henry. Enlighten me.
If an ethics complaint is made against Democrats, the iniating party is made a target like in the days of Ken Starr and Linda Tripp. Their integrity, motives, and traffic tickets are impugned and repeated.
Here it’s all Palin. No mention of the scum that do this. Freaking Twilight Zone media. They never connect the dots.
Amen!
It wouldn't take much more than some strong words, up close and personal, to make the cowardly, effete, leftist scumbags pulling this crap on Palin and her family knock it off. It's bound to happen and frankly, I'm looking forward to it happening. Kind of makes me wish I lived in Alaska so I could directly participate in it.
Why does she not counter sue?
Discovery will be quite interesting!
Everybody seems to want someone ELSE to do these things.
What exactly have YOU done to convince them to stop?
Proves she made the right decision for her and the state. The DNC was only going to get worse. In 2 weeks she can fight back.
Pray for America and Gov Palin
