From tomorrows issue.

She is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values.

She's making an offer... I wonder whether the "Blue Dogs" and "PUMAS" will accept it. I guess there aren't too many of them, they will no doubt be pressured by the DNC to reject her. But all the better... she will reconquer the shaky blue dog seats for Republicans, then.

Do I hear the faint whispers of a Third Party in the snow-capped distance?

Notice how Palin is asking Democrats to join her, rather than her “reaching out” to them. This isn’t the New Tone or McCain’s reaching across the aisle crapola. Palin is telling Democrats that if you truly believe in my values and my issues then support me and build a better America. What she is doing is completely isolating true conservatives away from both parties, leaving behind husks of Democrat leftists and Republican RINO enablers.

This is what the Tea Party folks are saying, too.

Sarah needs to become one of the main speakers for some Tea Parties.

I was just reading the comments to the Noonan article at WSJ and it hit me what Palin is offering to do. She is saying that she will work for a conservative Democrat who goes up against any RINO, who has been bashing her.

The Republican party is dead as a national organization, and I hope SP and her people know it.

The sooner the GOP is given a decent burial, the sooner we can get started.

As much as I detest Rino's they are still better in one respect than conservative democRATS: They increase the GOP numbers in the House or Senate so that we can control the agenda.

Focus should be regaining control of the legislature by putting more GOP members in congress.

Where would Sarah presume to find scumbags who share her values of “limited government, strong defense and energy independence”?

I still think it’s an intriguing offer. It, as Senator Blutarsky used to say, “don’t cost nothin’”, and it’s a nice gesture to (relatively) conservative Dems (which is probably a lot more fruitful pickings than the politicians themselves) and independents. Now if she ended up campaigning for a bunch of Dem hacks, that’d be a problem, but I think she’s bright enough not to do that. The fun starts if she actually finds some legitimate prospects and goes on the trail with them. Imagine, if you will, a Democrat campaign where Sarah Palin is campaigning for the candidate, and the Kos Kids are having shrieking fits against. Come on, people. It would be all-time. Popcorn-worthy, my friends.

The first vote that every dem representative makes is for Nancy Pelosi as speaker. The first vote that every dem Senator makes is for Harry Reid for Majority Leader. It is impossible to support any Dem for either branch of Congress and be conservative, no matter how conservative they are in their voting record (and there are NONE that are conservative.) There are a smattering of Dems that are allowed to occasionally vote conservative on some issues (gun control or illegal immigration, for example), but they are only allowed to do so because of their district, and if Nancy really needs them to win, she will force them to vote with her.

So, it is impossible to vote for any Democrat on the national level and be true to conservative principles. At the state level, maybe, depends on the dynamics of that state. But not national.

Only exception is to vote out a RINO so you can ultimately get a conservative in. Usually, it is better to get rid of a RINO in the primary process, but there are times when it's just better to be rid of them entirely. Arlen Specter (before he switched) and Linseed Graham come to mind.

I agree with the concept, but I will be unhappy if she supports any Dems who are running for Congress.

Next to Sarah, and maybe Haley Barbour, my favorite politician is Zell Miller.

OK, Pat Toomey is probably ahead of Zell.

The problem is that these conservative Dems are nothing but benders for Pelosi, Waxman as the conservative dems enable these ultra liberals in leadership positionns.

Has there ever been a single legislation from any of the conservative Dem congressman promoting conservatism.

If Palin wants to attract these conservative dem supporters for a Presidential run then that is good but to actually campaign for conservative dems to get elected is a very stupid strategy and does not advance conservative principles.
