Texas could certainly use some coal fired plants.

Texas coal fired plants.

So you agree with her position on abortion and think it's acceptable to mock Palin in order to play nice with liberals? You also agree with her position on the totalitarian Obama GIVE act?

Do principles or issues play actually any role, or do you just vote for her because she "has success"?

She is a republican who has the cojones to not march in lock step with the party and has won every election doing just that.

One can also call it opportunism.

When Hutchison was in Congress she voted pro-abortion. So there you go.

Just an observation.......... I suspect that Palin would be best served not to play this endorsement up in Texas that much. I know that Perry may do so but she and her supporters may should lie low as this will be a contentious race if KBH does get in it. KBH has a large following statewide and has been elected senator and state treasure as such.

Perry won with less than 40% of the vote in the last election and has things like the toll roads, forced gardisal vaccinations of girls, etc hung around his neck. In any case the race of the Tea Sip Cheer Leader versus the Aggie Yell Leader will be interesting and I wouldn’t bet on the outcome at this stage. Just my observations from living in Texas.

And one can also call it having the courage of her convictions. Perry is for whatever will get him elected. I do agree with her re:immigration. And John Cornyn. And W. And W got elected Gov twice endorsing a path to citizenship.
You do not have to agree with me. You are free to vote for whomever you want. It does not bother me. Nor does it upset me for some to disagree with me. I have been married to a democrat for 43 years and I havent killed him yet.

And good observations they are, deport. With substance. Not knee jerk reactions.

Just makes me wonder whether you see yourself as a Conservative, if you seriously support Hutchison who is anti-life, pro-Obama and hateful against Palin?

If that's your cup of tea... *shrug*

But you aren't a Conservative by any stretch of the meaning, and so isn't Hutchison.

I believe you misunderstand my statement. We can by agreement with our entry into the United States, divide into 3 states, but we can secede as a separate issue.

Secession occurred once because of the federal government running roughshod over the states, and there is no reason that it can’t happen again.

Peacefully. It is not necessary to have bloodshed because the citizens of one or more states says the h**l with the Federal Government, and choose liberty and freedom over the induced serfdom that becomes more onerous daily.

Recently Texas utilties have had to back off plans to construct new coal fired plants. Almost all of the recent power plant construction has been natgas. Unfortunately I’m served by natgas generation and my bills show it.

Natgas is too valuable an energy source to be used for fixed plant generation. Coal on the other hand is ideally suited for fixed plant but can’t be used in nearly the other applications as natgas.

Per kwh I’m in the top 5% (most expensive) in cost nationwide.

I wasn’t much a fan of Gov Rick Perry until he made the speech at the Tea Parties several months ago. Now I support him 100%.
Does anyone have a text of the speech he made? I’ve looked & cannot find one.

And I have no doubt that the voters of Texas could not care less who Palin endorses..or anyone else for that matter.

Yes some were cancelled due to various reasons many of which are evior related or lawsuits. However some have been cleared to begin construction and some are under way.

Are you served by a gov’t/coop type utility or from a private sector utility?

Let me take the top 5% back. I just rechecked, the lowest average cost in the nation was Wyoming at 5.88 cents/kwh and Connecticut was highest at roughly 17.5 cents/kwh. I was over 14 cents last time I checked which made 6 or 7 states on average more expensive.

I'm no doubt higher than the Texas average due to the existing nuke and coal.
