Yes some were cancelled due to various reasons many of which are evior related or lawsuits. However some have been cleared to begin construction and some are under way.

Are you served by a gov’t/coop type utility or from a private sector utility?

That’s good news that something other than natgas are now being permitted and constructed. They had run into some of the same problems permitting new coal fired plants in Kansas as well.

I’m served by a coop which means I can’t shop rates like many others can in Texas. IIRC if you’re in an area served by a city owned utility or coop you’re pretty much tied to them.
