Why, this must be about a Democrat, because otherwise it would say “Republican” in the title.

From what I understand the suitcase manufacturing company is owned by a REPUBLICAN, and thus this is our fault.

"Jefferson's lawyers have said Jefferson's business deals weren't illegal."
Be interesting to see how they go about proving his innocence.

In journalism school the reporter are taught not the mention the obvious the common place: only point out an unexpected, unusual condition.
Corruption etc is common place in the Democrat Party...It is unusual and unexpected in the Republican. Thus the notation or lack of in news releases.

Be interesting to see how they go about proving his innocence. Ummm. even in LA, which has French based laws, instead of English law like all the other states.... The State has to prove him guilty. He is assumed to be innocent.
First, we give him a fair trial. THEN we hang him.

You mean “party affiliation” in the title.
When there’s a Democrat, there is no mention of one.
You are correct that ‘Republican’ is the only one that every shows up.
Another pet peeve of mine is the mention of right winger or far right winged, or Conservative this or that.
You never hear left winger, far left wing, or Marxist this or that.

Poor guy. He had two thirds of his insurance policy in order.
If he would have only added the word Clinton to his name, he could have skated home free, and won the Presidency.
