SARAH PALIN TURNS TO FIGHT!
JEFFHEAD.COM ^ | July 4, 2009 | Jeff Head

Posted on 07/04/2009 9:00:53 AM PDT by Jeff Head

On July 3rd, Sarah Palin, once again, turned the Main Stream Media pundits, the liberal policiticians, and the political establishment in Washington DC on their ear. Talk again is abuzz, "What will Sarah do?" I listened to her entire announcement. It was honorable, it was direct, and it punctuated the insane politics of our day...it also punctuated her personal commitment to fight for conservative principles and candidates...to fight for America, and to do so when it would not distract further from her job as Governor and the foundation she has built there.

I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.

I think Sarah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors and on the sad state of affairs afflicting our nation. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face the enemy directly. The enemy of big, inflated government, the enemey of abject socialism and marxism runnink amuck in our nation, the enemy of out of control spending, the enemy of energy dependence, the enemy of moral decay, and the enemy of the culture of death in our society.

I think all of the enemies, and the people who support them and perpetuate them are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time as they have attacked this good woman, her family, and her children. Good on her!

I believe she will assist conservative candidates greatly in 2010, with huge crowds and building imense political capitol as she goes. I believe she will build personal capital as she speaks out in support of fundamental American and moral principle all around this nation, and I believe she will take all of that capital and will run herself in 2012 for President...and she has my full support.

GO SARAH GO!

Palin's quitting shows that the liberals and their media have a way to get conservatives out of the way even before they recount votes until they win.

Come 2010 and/or 2012 the libs will bring up Palin's quitting mid-term against not just her, but every Repub who runs for office - using the media to hint around, or even directly question, that ther Repub might quit in office "Like Sarah Palin did", without mentioning the hounding the Repubs get from the Demo media, while remaining silent, or even burying, Demo problems. Watch and see.

we need a plain speaking Will Rogers type to speak to us in all our grammatical errors and tics

Ronald Reagan was polished. We just finished eight freakin years of George Bush's embarrassing grammatical errors and tics

Take your pick, do you want our message to be eloquent and inspire the masses or do you want liberal comedians to have better punch lines?

I'll take Reagan any day.

God has already placed some of his soldiers to watch over her, he has even lent one of them talent, every day we listen to him we are reminded where he got the talent from.

Wrong, she hasn’t quit. She plans to win. They’ll try to lay that “quitter” line on her and MSM controlled moonbats will buy it regardless of the facts.

But when America is under attack the tough mobilize for the battle; aid the troops or go to the front line. I think she’s headed for the front line. She’ll maybe seen as the American patriot that set aside her political ambitions to fight a battle for the liberty of the people at a time when she was most needed. She can now go on the offensive and wake a lot of people from their slumber. She’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

My hope is that the RINOs and socialists will have to change underwear several times as they start to realize what she is free to do now.

refined as he was Reagan did not face a united media onslaugh as Bush faced nor Palin will face, is Obama as refined?

Or is the State Run Media just covering for him?

I will take a conservative hick smelling of fish that loves this country and its traditions over a slickhaired well spoken “Republican” or other politican any time.

Exactly! Todd Palin had crowds wherever he went. What a dynamic duo those two make.

Thought that was hilarious on Biden as they had to remove chairs.

It's almost eight months since the increasingly debacular event known as an election took place. The Obsolete Media just couldn't let go and continued their slander campaign against a defeated Vice Presidential candidate. When has that ever happened in the past? No instances come to mind. The answer really is FEAR. Sarah Palin represented everything that scares them to death and they couldn't stop trashing her. Why would David Letterman find it necessary to keep alive a theme which should have died on November 5, 2008? His slander obviously backfired. The Obsolete Media strategy obviously backfired. Sarah Palin is more popular than she ever was as the evolving disaster of the Obamastration becomes more evident with each passing day. Once again, they have comically proved the Law of Unintended Results. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the libs are holding an emergency meeting today to try to figure out what they are going to do now? Make no mistake, they are very, very scared. The second Declaration of Independence was delivered on July 3rd this time around.

Well said. I love this from Hugh Hewitt on why Libs hate Sarah.

"She is the embodiment of the anti-choice, the opposite of every choice that lefty elites have ever made — as to going back home instead of moving to the west coast, having children, having a child with Down's, staying married to one man the whole time, choosing rural or suburban over urban and living a generally conservative lifestyle, working with her hands . . . That everything she is is the antithesis of everything that liberal urban elites are, so it's not just enough to say, 'I disagree with you,'; she has to be repudiated and crushed."

I remember the MSM (main slimeball media) trying to claim Greta and her husband were SCIENTOLOGISTS recruiting Sarah for their cult. What rubbish.

refined as he was Reagan did not face a united media onslaugh as Bush faced nor Palin will face, is Obama as refined?

Reagan faced unbelievable attacks, he remained calm, cool, inspiring and eloquent. The press had to throttle back their attacks repeatedly because the public liked, trusted and respected Reagan, resulting in the press having to provide him with a certain level of respect. Goerge Bush is the candidate you want Palin to emulate, did you see how the press went after him? If a Republican politician can't keep his or her popularity numbers up, the press will attemp to kill them with death by a thousand papercuts.

As far as obama goes, he can be a great public speaker as long as he has no one to counter his point of view and his speaking events are stage managed to prevent him from screwing up. His biggest problems have arisen from his poor use of teleprompters, his poor command of facts and his need to lie to get what he wants. Yes, you are right about the press, they cover for him as much as they can, after all, he's their guy.

I will take a conservative hick smelling of fish that loves this country and its traditions over a slickhaired well spoken “Republican” or other politican any time.

I don't want to "change" Sarah, I like her just fine as she is. Having her become a better public speaker is NOT a bad thing, it's a good thing.

Oh, I’m sure that she’s thinking 3+ years out. If she makes her mark in the 2010 cycle she’s golden. Heck, all Romney, Guiliani etc. can do is glad hand and beat their gums. They aren’t game changers. Sarah is a game changer.

Good Blog post here, Jeff:

http://sarahwaydownsouth.blogspot.com/2009/07/palin-resigns-only-beginning.html

[snip)I don’t really know why Sarah Palin resigned today. No one but she and maybe her husband and kids know the real answer. As I said, I take her at face value because I honestly in my heart believe she is good. There are few people in the world I can say that about. You can laugh at me, you can say I drank some sort of dreamy kool-aid with a side of idol worship. That’s fine. If there’s one thing Sarah Palin and others whom I admire have taught me, it’s not to worry about what other people think about what I believe in. As a matter of fact, I was pretty burned out on politics and my hope for the general population until Sarah Palin was chosen as John McCain’s Vice President. As I watched Governor Palin give her speech today (a transcript of the speech can be found here), as I watched her hold her head high, standing next to her family, fighting back tears, I found that same hope. In a world where Michael Jackson trumps ridiculous and excessive taxation in the news, I found that same hope. I saw that one person who is in a position to do something about it - not because she is a Governor or was a potential Vice President, but because she loves people and wants to help them and they trust her in return - recognize the direction in which this country is going. Palin did so much for the state of Alaska in a few short years. She did so much for women, especially Conservative women (just go visit Team Sarah to get an idea). But we never heard those stories because we were force fed the irreverent and have become too lazy to seek the truth.

Unlike recent speeches from individual politicians about “tragic love stories,” I saw someone who was tired of the same old games. Someone who really wants to make a difference in this world and someone who will rise above the ridiculousness that has become our government and our media to do that. Someone who will, no doubt, become a leader again in some capacity. Someone who, if I ever have children, I will want them to look to as a role model. Someone who could be the person that saves this country, its people, and its ideals put forth in the Constitution from all who seek to destroy it, including most of the people we have in office today.

As radio host Tammy Bruce said today, “Palin has committed the unpardonable sin of not being destroyed by the Liberal Gestapos. Run, Baby, Run!”

Palin, who seems to be as big a fan of great quotes from great people as I am, quoted General MacArthur today: “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.” If Sarah Palin meant that and is ready to lead some people in this country to real change, in or out of office, I stand behind her 100%.

And in the event that I’m wrong, in the event that Palin just wants to stay home and raise her children and spend time with her family, I wish her the best of luck. Even if her face never graces my television again, I’ll always be grateful for what she inspired in me me and millions of others across the country.

The Republican Party may be beyond rescue. I hope a third party galvanizes around her and the Tea Parties, as the Bull Moose party did around Theodore Roosevelt. After the Bull Moose Party lost against Wilson but had put pressure on the GOP to change, its figurehead TR rejoined a chastened GOP.
