VANITY: Possible way for Romney to gain Palin's support [mega baforama!!]
July, 4, 2009 | yongin

Posted on 07/04/2009 5:09:47 AM PDT by yongin

Many FReepers are skeptical of Romney's conservative credentials. They don't like his past positions on abortion, healthcare, and gay marriage. They feel his rightward shift on social issues to be less than sincere.

Many conservatives are angered by the Left's attempts to character assassinate Palin thru silly ethics complaints. They have made Palin's administration and family into side shows. The ethics complaints have driven her to be $500,000 in debt.

This situation might provide an opening for Romney to gain Palin's support. Romney could step in to pay off Palin's legal debt. He then could make a speech about how conservatives must unite against the Far Left with Palin giving her endorsement. If Romney does this action, would it make him acceptable to Freepers?

Never been in a Starbucks.

Course if you had been here for a while and read my posts, you’d realize that.

Your kind of place, eh?
Figures.

Kinda fits with that glazed-look-in-your-eyes that is so present in the Romney dimension.

Um, the “you” wasn't directed at you, but as response to your question of why the Romneybots don't give up...

As in they don't quit because if they did they would have to go back to working at Starbucks, or Books-a Million or whatever...

Oh, OK!
I thought you came out of the blue to lob a few at me!

Well, I’ve come up with a good slogan for R in 2012.
“We can sell you mandatory health care cheaper than the democrats!!”

The dude would be way better off if NBC started a new reality show called “Politician hunks in Gambia” or whatever. I’d luv to see him eat a bug!

Happy Fourth of July, to you and all FRiends!

Been here too long to come out of the blue.

I am an official “Mitt Basher” and certified “Romney Hater” myself.

Romney is a 4th stringer who again will never make
it through the primaries.

Never mind his flip flop views, he is plastic.
Another elitist who lives in a bubble.

Mitt Romney must think Palin’s support is for sale. No way.

Would Mitt Romney trying to buy off Sarah Palin mak him acceptable?

No, because he isn't Conservative, and buying someone off won't make him one.

The best way I can explain it is like this:

Some people believe in voting for anything with a big 'R' next to it's name. For a lot of people, it's like rooting for the local sports team. You wear their jersey and go to home games, even though their players stink, they can't hold onto the ball to save themselves, they've lost the play book, and they haven't won a season since forever.

Their fans support them through thick and thin because they have that big R on their jersey, through every bone-headed, idiot move they make.

Other people, people like myself, reject that. My team doesn't have an 'R' on their jersey. My team has a 'C' for Conservatism. If a player isn't cutting it, they don't belong on my team. It is just that simple.

Players on my team don't have to be perfect. No one is perfect. But they do have to be Conservative and have to have a basic feel for what that means.

Conservatism is lost on Mitt Romney. He doesn't get it. He doesn't get that it's more than words. It's what you do and what you are, even when it's unpopular to do or be it. It's knowing that programs like Romney Care aren't morally right - that it is not the moral right of the elected to steal money from the electorate to give to others.

Mitt Romney defends and even brags on Romney Care and that alone proves to anyone listening that he is not a Conservative.

Mitt Romney is a third rate player who isn't qualified to be the mascot of Conservatism at half time.

A better question would be this: Why do you feel compelled to vote for and/or promote non-Conservative Republicans? Does it make you feel good to vote for the 'R', even when the 'R' isn't conservative?

"Why does Romney need Palin’s support? What’s wrong with him that he can’t stand on his own merit?"

That's funny! Take that act on Conan. ;)

But seriously, what's wrong with him? A better question is what's right with him. He was a failed RINO Governor and a terrible national candidate.

{Cough! Cough! Sputter!} You're kidding...right?

Here's another question:

What's the difference between Romneycare and Obamacare?

When people start to lose everything, they have nothing left to fight for except the basic freedom that obamageddon is taking away from all of us.

Palin took on both the Democrats and her state’s corrupt Republicans.

Mitt has never done either.

Palin has a common touch. Mitt doesn’t.
Palin is, in her bones, a conservative. Mitt fakes it, and it’s just not him.

Palin has won more than Mitt.
Palin wins as an underdog. Mitt can bairly win with all the hired help even Ross Perot couldn’t buy.

As far as conservative go, Palin is light years ahead of Mitt.

Mitt is light years ahead of Palin with the country club, financial, mercantilist liberal/a political ‘leadership’ of the GOP. The Jerry Ford, Michael’s...H W Bush big government, big debt, big paper Republicans.

I’ll bet that post was by someone you know or a left-wing nutball.

Conservatives wouldn’t say they wouldn’t vote for a Morman, they will not however vote for a moron which Mitt-Witt happens to be along with his socialist followers.
