Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin plans to remain extremely visible and will give serious consideration to running for president in 2012, but has made no decision, a close friend said after her startling announcement Friday that she will resign her office.
Friends say Palin plans to spend time writing her book, which is due this fall, then promote it heavily when it comes out in spring 2010.
Palin is by far the Republican Party's biggest draw for fund-raisers and conservative events, and the friends say she plans to spend a lot of time traveling in "the lower 48" states, as Alaskans call the continental U.S.
Those friends say she plans to give a series of paid speeches, and will also make free GOP appearances, raising money for the party and for issues. She also plans to help other candidates, collecting political IOUs for herself.

Now what were you saying, Andrea?
This seems like a more legitimate report.
Mike Allen is the one that broke the Washington Post story of charging for influence.
He seems to be much better then some at Politico.
You can't beat Obama with a federally financed campaign. We learned that already.
Wow, what a Palin fix I got today. Can’t get enough of her. I could watch her speeches with no sound .....
Flanking the f—ker
She is taking the advice of those who told her to get better prepared for the Presidential run... I hope.
I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.
I think Sarah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face her enemies directly.
...and I think they are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time. Good on her!
I believe she will assist others greatly in 2010, and will run herself in 2012...and she has my full support.
GO SARAH GO!
Can you imagine the crowds at her book tour?
The talking msm heads will explode.
He and his ilk are no better than the left.
And he is a lite version of Obama.
I am very seriously thinking about dropping my membership from the Republican party.
With choices like McCain or anyone he recommends is tainted.
Yup. Time to make a change.
She is the first politician in my life that I don't have to read between the lines.
They wanted her to bide her time in Alaska. Ain’t happenin’.
If a Liberal Democratic political was harassed by the media and celebrities as much as Sarah was, the whole Democratic party would be up in arms. Where are the “heroes” of the Republican party that have come to Sarah’s aid?
I doubt that she would have a chance. She isn’t part of the Republican establishment.
Unfortunately, we need more like her. The Republican party is lacking a soul right now.
I wish her the best.
Amen, Amen and AMEN to that!!!!!!!
We were stuck with McCain because ACORN and the Dems made him our nominee.
If we don’t stop the fraud, somehow, we don’t have a chance.
Sowing seeds of HOPE...not HYPE!
it starts with a vision

2012
