Could Sarah's move mean the beginning of a Conservative third party?
Yep, and remember, last week, Rush said he was working on something very important? Makes you wonder doesn't it? :-)
We have no time for people like you who have no backbone. Get out of our way.
And imagine when they converge into one.
You don’t have to worry — I am a rockribbed Republican so I am not getting in your way but I must be doing something right for you to tell me to get out of the way when I never was in your way.
Touchy aren’t you about 3rd parties. Sarah would NEVER join a 3rd party — she is not Ross Perot.
I don't get it, what do you mean?
If she does, I’m in!
Get out of who's way, which boutique party do you belong to, or desire the rest of us to belong to?
republican? LOL! Your party is as dead as Michael Jackson.
LOL, my what a inventive mind you have. So disagreeing with the derogatory word that is used by american-hating leftists, racists and paleo-cons is somehow equivalent to believing in Obama and all of GWB’s and McCains politics. LOLOLOLOLOLOL breathe LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Yep, that is why most conservatives pray for more and stronger "third parties" for liberals and leftists, but not everyone seems to understand that, judging from this thread.
If she starts a third Reform Conservative Party—I will join. What the Liberals have done to her was shameful but expected—what the Republicans did was worse. She was almost forced out of the party. If she bolts like a Bull Moose, so to will I and a lot of people I know. The Two party scam will be exposed for what it is—a two headed beast.
You are dead wrong, FRiend. Zero's ascent was locked in with the nomination of McCain. Conservatives were going to sit on their hands or cast their vote not for McCain but rather against Obama.
Then came the announcement of Sarah for VP. The sea change was palpable! There was finally HOPE. Hope that Sarah could bring McCain back to the right, to be the sane voice of Conservatism in a McCain administration. Wallets opened spontaneously. Conservatives came back to the phone banks, to the neighborhood walks. Be in any local party HQ and what you heard was "I'm here because of Sarah." I was one of them and that's my testimony.
Too much hope to place on one person? Be cautious not to make this a cult of personality? Yes. But the excitement Sarah brings is not in how she says it but what she says. That is a world of difference.
No, Sarah did not give us Zero, she stopped him from claiming the "mandate" of a 50 state sweep that would have made the McGovern defeat look like a squeaker.
Great. Vote for Rush, nitwit. You can have a "secret" hopey changey moment. Tune in, turn on, and drop out. Ditto
In real life there are few strong, charismatic leaders. Since it's not possible to vote for some abstract ideal figurehead you must take a chance on backing a real human being for the duration of the fight. Once in the fight you stick by that person.
Calling it a "cult of personality" is just a weak false argument. Backing the right horse seems more appropriate.
Yet those true conservative parties fails to get at least 1% of the vote.. Thank you but no thank you...
