Don’t take that forgiveness, Mark.
It’s a license for her to make you miserable for the rest of time.

Forgiveness is for the forgiver, not for the the forgiven. Forgiveness allows the forgiver to move forward. It may take a long time, if at all, for the wife to ever trust her husband again.

He should push through polygamy in his state.

He has boys to take care of.
Much easier if they live in the same house, albeit in seperate bedrooms.

This is closer to “bottom story of the day” territory than it is to breaking news.

"Its a license for her to make you miserable for the rest of time." He is already a miserable creature and his wife has nothing to do with it.

She was sympathetic at first but now this is just pathetic. She caught him, he still continued the affair. Fine. Then embarrassed the whole family by disappearing for 5 days (was supposed to be 10). Ok. But now he's tearfully calling the mistress "
his soulmate" in 4 hour interviews? That is GAME. SET. MATCH.
Come on Jenny! Sarah Palin never would've taken this from Todd.

I guess having 4 boys to raise makes forces your hand to take the weakling back in.

Oh please, just cut his nuts off and lets go on to the next story. Anything, as long as I don’t have to continue to see this crap.

Forgiveness is for the forgiver, not for the the forgiven. Forgiveness allows the forgiver to move forward. It may take a long time, if at all, for the wife to ever trust her husband again. Forgiveness cannot be accomplished even by the forgiver until a pennance is paid! Christ himself proved that!

How do you know? She is probably a better politician than he is. We don’t know whats going on in their family. We only know he’s been acting the fool. She comes across as very noble and perhaps she is. However there have been numerous stories about how great a politician she is.
If theres any doubt remember they are politicians, the exceptions are rare.

What is wrong with you, Mrs. Sanford???? He doesn’t want or love you and he told the whole world that he is in love with another woman. Where is your pride???
To: meandog
This is playing out in public. How humiliating for them both. If I were her, I’d not be ready to deal with the subject of forgiveness until later— too many emotions to deal with now.
This is just a rotten situation all the way around.
To: meandog
They are both serious Christians and can, with some counseling, work this thing out. People make mistakes all the time and somehow the world keeps on turning (hey...that sounds like a soap opera)
