'Spanish enjoy time with their family instead of their Blackberry', says Gwyneth Paltrow (Anti-US)
Daily Mail ^ | July 1, 2009 | By Staff

In a new interview which is sure to irk her best friend Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow has criticised Americans for allowing their Blackberries to interfere with family life. Hailing her 'second home' of Spain for putting family first, Gwyneth complains her native New Yorkers are too concerned with their work to fully immerse themselves in their family.

I would like to visit Spain one day. A major draw is its history but comparing the US to Spain is comparing an apple to an orange. Sort of funny Miss Paltrow talks about family in Spain given the birth rates in Spain, appraoching a fertility rate of 1, a family of Spain is a woman walking her dog.

Hope she’s still there when sharia “law” takes hold.

Heh.

Lady Gwyneth spews more condescending hatred of the US. She’s so swell.

She’s just annoyed at herself for not naming her baby “Blackberry” and could only think of Apple as a name.

She’s a daughter of Hollywood who’s never lived in the real world.

Considering how hard the housing bubble and following crash hit Spain, many Spaniards are spending a lot more time than they used to with their families instead of at work.

Hey Gwyneth, the people I see most on their Crackberries are likely to share your anti-US, leftist mindset.

LOL! Gwynnie never lets fashion week or shopping interfere with her family life with lil Apple and Moses. We disdained Americans have blackberries- she has a publicist and a stable of nannies, cooks, personal trainers and limos. She is so ... superior. I bet lots of people would sooner text than spend 5 minutes talking to her.

Gwenyth, lead by example you and your husband should retire immediately. The end of wimp-rockers Coldplay would be reason for all of us to celebrate. And, BTW Gwen, your mom was way hotter than you.

Spain is wonderful and I too spend a lot of time there, but I beg to differ.

The Spanish spend all of their time on their cell phones or Blackberries, and younger Spaniards have virtually no family to spend time with.

They have abandoned their elderly to the state and every summer in Madrid, when Spaniards go off on vacation for the month of August, their elderly parents are found dead in their apartments and nobody even knows where to reach the vacationing children.

Men stopped marrying a long time ago in Spain and now about the only people who get married there are gays, who do it to p.o. their fellow Spaniards.

And nobody has children.

So that’s the reality, Gwyneth - who herself has probably spent a lot of time working to ensure that Americans don’t marry, don’t have children, abort the ones they conceive, and dump their old people on the state.

I agree with the fine Ms. Paltrow completely.

Americans should be ashamed of their addictions to Blackberries, particularly to the exclusion of their families.

Thoughtless and rude.

They ought to be more like me and use the Samsung Blackjack.I just can't put that thing down!

The USA’s per-capita GDP is 50% higher than Spain’s as of 2007: $45,800 in the USA versus $30,300 in Spain.

Nothing against Spain. I’m sure things are cheaper there, mostly, making the pocketbook reality a closer call, but look, if we choose to work harder, that’s our freedom.

And it’s Gwyneth “never a day’s work in my life” Paltrow’s freedom to say she likes the Spanish way more. Just as she likes the British way more than the USA’s way.

Gwyn, honey, we get it: USA bad. Other places good.

I agree that people spend too much time with their gadgets.

But let’s not call it an American problem.

She’s a daughter of Hollywood who’s never lived in the real world.

That's pretty much it. There are plenty of places in the U.S. where people enjoy life with their families. I guess she had to go to Spain to find that. Not that I blame her; I like Spain too. But she didn't actually have to travel so far.
