Thousands of Hondurans have marched in support of the new government that replaced ousted leader Manuel Zelaya earlier this week. Officials have vowed to arrest Mr. Zelaya if he returns to the country.
Supporters of the new government rallied in the capital Tuesday to hear a speech from interim President Roberto Micheletti and the head of the nation's armed forces.
Marchers held signs and waved the blue-and-white flag of the Central American nation as they chanted slogans in support of Mr. Micheletti and the army. Some people also voiced criticism of ousted President Manuel Zelaya and his close ties to Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.
Mr. Michelleti led a cheer for soldiers, who he said had done nothing more than fulfill their duties under the constitution.
He called on supporters to cheer for the real heroes of the moment, the nation's armed forces.
The former leader of congress said the military was acting on a judicial order to remove Mr. Zelaya, who he accused of a series of offenses as president.
Mr. Micheletti said the events this week should serve as an example that no person who becomes president is above the law.

Chavez will probably send in troops to mow them down, and Obortion will give a wink and a nod.
The best part of this story, aside from the fact that it is accurate, is:
"Speaking at the United Nations in New York, Mr. Zelaya pledged to return to Honduras Thursday and reclaim the presidency. The new attorney general said Mr. Zelaya will be arrested if he sets foot in the country, and he said officials were seeking help from Interpol to capture the ousted leader on foreign soil."
The Supreme Court of that nation ruled against it (properly so) and the President was planning to use the Executive Branch to implement it anyway. That's when the Supreme Court and a majority of the legislature called for the military's assistance...and they gave it, in support of the Hionduras constitution which Zelaya was attempting to subvert.
And so the telling thing about what happened in Honduras is this: EVERY Marxist in the Western Hemisphere is against it, including the Marxist Obama who is arm-and-arm with his marxist friends, Chavez and Castro on this.
That tells you that what the Honduras military did at the request of its Supreme Court and w/support from its legislature was correct, and avoided a move by Marxists to circumvent the Honduran constitution and entrench marxism in Honduras.
Bravo for the Honduras Supreme Court and military...and down with on Obama's marxist dogma, policies, and ideology!

I don’t support the Federal government’s policy with regard to Honduras.
We have a friend who is a Honduran. He’s done lots of work for us (yes, he’s here legally). My husband was talking to him today...he loathes Zelaya...and Obama. He also said that in Honduras, many Hondurans own firearms.

It doesn’t matter what Hondurans want or that everything they have done, they have done legally under their Constitution.
What really matters is what Chavez, Obama and the United Communist Nations want.
This is incredible and one of the most upsetting things Obama has done so far, IMHO. I think it’s the speed with which he fell all over himself to support this would-be power-usurping leftist dictator that has really stunned me.
I need to check into Honduras a bit more. Might be a good place for exiled Americans when Obama’s brownshirts come in force.

I am with you 100% — the fact that he worked to keep the guy in office for two weeks stunned me. This from the guy that didn’t want to get involved in another Nation’s business like Iran but he doesn’t mind Honduras and Israel.

Perhaps it is not so surprizing after all, though.
The Director of the Voice of America is appointed by the President of the United States.
The current Director, Danforth W. Austin, was appointed in 2006 by President Bush.
The Obama-ites must not have gotten around to replacing him just yet.
I wonder if this news story will cause Mr. Austin to lose his job, and be replaced by someone more "on board" with the goals of the Obama "team:.
