Alaska's lipstick-wearing pit-bull is a "Little Shop of Horrors."
That's how one longtime friend and campaign trail companion of John McCain, the vanquished 2008 GOP presidential nominee, described veep nominee Sarah Palin.
In an expansive story in the August edition of Vanity Fair, a slew of senior members of McCain's campaign team told reporter Todd S. Purdum that they suffer a kind of survivor's guilt following the 2008 presidential election.

“Both of them wholeheartedly supported the following nation-killing legislation...
Amnesty for illegal aliens
Carbon cap-and-tax
The financial services bailout”
Don’t forget Healthcare Reform.
I'm not sure there is a viable long-term approach.
The past year has been like a cobra bite. We've got to hit it with every thing we've got over a very short period of time in order to significantly change things. Moving slow is sure death. Too many aspects of our society are in ICU for things to just get better over time.
If not, even the best case scenario would require an even more drastic quick-change a some point in the future.
For some reason I thought it was Vanity Fair. I have never read either.
Why any Republican, even a RINO would let Vanity Fair do a story on them is beyond me.
From your keyboard to God’s ears.
We can no longer afford the luxury of nitpicking. This country is going DOWN and we’re pissing around over minor complaints.
The rats run circles around us politically because we’re stupid and this is a perfect example of it.
These are the same genuii who said he would veto any bill that had earmarks and then voted for the most earmarks ever put on one bill. Bet he got earmarked from Saracuda on that idiocy.
Pray for America and Gov Palin

Folks, we're witnessing the 2nd coming of Reagan. This woman doesn't give two s--ts about what other people think of her. She is just plowing ahead for the good of the people and country. Personally, I don't think she should even respond to Vanity Fair's crap. Who is going to read this besides the hoity-toity folks who already hate her?
She had better have some damn good libertarian and Constitutionalist, and this time, no more of the damn RINOs like the ones that $%(@ed up the Reagan years.
Can’t wait for her book to come out too.
Yes, she does need to libertarianize.
Thanks, but I’ll decide what opinions to hold. Go censor yourself.
The question here is why? Why do Sarah's enemies keep rehashing the same tiresome trash if Sarah is indeed a weak candidate? Why would anyone in their right mind give so much attention to such a weak, unimportant individual?
The answer is because Sarah is far better than what they chose to depict. In fact, Sarah threatens their pitiful political lives and shakes up their status quo. She is very popular with the base while McCain isn't, and the reason for her popularity is based on the fact that she is a strong, genuine conservative - and they truly hate that.
Yes. He has a talk radio show on KFYI 550 am in Phoenix.
Would McCain have been as bad as Obama? I doubt it. Still it irritates me to no end to see McCain offer up unsolicited kudos to Obama on nearly a daily basis.
John McCain is unfit to lead. He will never get my vote. If he’s the best our side can loft to lead, then our nation is already gone.
I’m going to have to side with Deb here.
I don’t really like to get pinged to disagreements.
In this instance I responded, because I can’t think of a worse person to lead Conservatism than John McCain. I will trash the guy incessantly until he no longer holds public office.
He’s been a miscreant his whole life.
