Now why would Obama claim this when Zelaya’s dictatorial power grab was clearly against Honduras’ constitution?

Forward thinking?

0bama never met a communist he didn’t like. I seem to recall that interfering with other countries is illegal.

Perhaps he wants to set an example for Americans by punishing the people of Honduras.

You just know he HAS to be a little gun-shy about his own job.

So this is what 0bama has chosen for his political destruction?
You would think that if he was going to squander his political capital, it would be on something bigger than supporting a South American communist who is trying to illegally install himself as dictator.

Washington's backing for Zelaya as the legitimate president put it in the same camp as a group of leftist Latin American governments -- led by Chavez... Surprise, surprise!

"Obama says Honduras coup was "illegal" and Zelaya remains the president."

That is in direct contradiction with the ruling of the Honduran Supreme Court, who, not Obama, is the authority on what is or is not legal under the Honduran constitution. Besides, shouldn't he wait while this plays out before meddling?

The people saw another Chavez rising up and kicked him out. Now Obama is backing Chavez and Cuba’s arguments. He’s such thin-skinned pawn being played by the world leaders.
