But what is the result? Do they get their promotions (good result)? Or does the case get sent back to the circuit judge who started all this madness (bad result)?

WooHOO!!
Have we ever had a Supreme Court nominee that has been overturned by the Supreme Court before being confirmed?
Just curious.

This is perfect — Sessions and other Republicans on the Judiciary have had little to say about Sotomayer with this case pending which was a smart move. Now the ammunition is there for all to see.

Response from Camp BamBam:
"This ruling proves the current court is out of touch with the real life of ordinary Americans. We need more diversity; there was no empathy for the plight of persons of color; we need Sonia Sotomeyer to balance it out."

Sorry, but the Dems will spin it as an example of the evil conservative-dominated Court and as a miscarriage of justice. They will use it to show all the more reason why Sotomayor is needed to keep the court from falling futher into the hands of conservatives. To them the SCOTUS is incredibly hidebound and conservative. They really believe that.
The merits of the case—that Sotomayor’s position is rank racism—will get lost in the the ideological struggle. Before this ruling, the Pubblies might have been able to use the merits of the case against Sotomayor but now, I fear, the current Supreme Court will become the issue rather than the merits of this particular egregious case of reverse racism.
I hope I’m proven wrong.

Kennedy has been going with the conservatives more and more which tells you are far left the others on the Court are right now.
