I’m glad to see the Court reached the right decision, but I doubt that it will stop the left from advancing unfair and unequal pro-minority discrimination against whites. After all, the Heller case doesn’t seem to have showed down their attempts at gun-grabbing one little bit!
I also think a black firefighter will file suit against the fire department after they promote the plaintiffs.
Please explain how you interpreted my lament about the structure we have set up in our modern polity
to mean that I disagreed with MLK’s statement.

Last night I heard Sotomayor's lower court opinions have now been overturned by the SCOTUS six times, and upheld only once. But, will that matter? Only if the Rs have anything resembling a spine.

She won’t withdraw her nominations, why should she? The electorate gave the liberals both the White House and the Congress. They can pretty much do whatever they want. It will make for some interesting news cycles though! Look at Obama, he is so sure of himself he doesn’t even feel the need to condemn Iran for killing it’s own citizens. The other side is getting very bold.
Plus its not as if this test is some relic of 1950’s vintage.
This is a contemporary test, built using concerns about race into its framework, apparently 40% of the test was an oral session, with a panel of three outside firefighters, chosen by quotas for race (B,W,H) administering this component.
Again, it just boggles my mind that four learned attorneys and a huge chunk of the judiciary and assorted government and black advocacy groups do not see the irrationality of their arguments. Forget simple fairness and common sense.

Well, I had tried posting my ‘light my fire’ gif twice, replied to your Polar bear post and wrote a freepletter. Nothing showing up on my own posting.
Never saw that happen before in 8 years here. But the time was messed up before it happened. I gave up after 45 minutes of not knowing if they had ‘turned me off’ and did other things.
