TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - The Honduran army ousted President Manuel Zelaya and threw him out of the country on Sunday in Central America's first military coup since the Cold War, after he upset the army by trying to win re-election.
U.S. President Barack Obama expressed deep concern after troops came for Zelaya, an ally of leftist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, at dawn and took him away from his residence.

I find it interesting that Obama is quick to defend everyone from George Tiller, hard liners in Iran, and now freedom fighters in Honduras. It took him a few days to respond to the muslim that killed the recruiter in Arkansas, freedom fighters in Iran.

The country's Supreme Court last week came out against Zelaya and ordered him to reinstate fired military chief Vasquez. The court said on Sunday it had told the army to remove the president.

For many years, we've had our heads up every country a$$ on earth, always looking out for their best interest, while here at home, our economy and standard of living circles the drain...While tens of millions have entered illegally, driving down wages, choking off our prisons, schools, social services, hospitals etc...All due to corrupt and incompetent government leadership.

Obama was defending “freedom fighters?” Here’s what it said:
“President Barack Obama and the European Union expressed deep concern after troops came for Zelaya, an ally of socialist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, around dawn and took him away from his residence.”
I am not sure who he was defending, but it looks like he was expressing dismay that his leftist buddy was dethrowned in advance of his unconstitutional re-election bid.

The army threw him out because his hat wasn't big enough. In many of these latin American countries, the local dictator has to, more or less, have a super giant hat in order to gain the respect of the armed forces. I mean, the guy's hat was probably an extra to extra extra large, but it just wasn't big enough to cut it. He needed one of those humongous Styrofoam hats to gain the military's backing.

The first paragraph of the Reuters article reflects their leftwing bias:
....”after he upset the army by trying to seek another term in office.”
Here was a guy who was trying to pull a Hugo Chavez and become President for life, and the Supreme Court ordered the army to remove him to uphold their laws.
Of course, Obama will support him, just like he supported the election thieves in Teheran, because he might have the same thing in mind. Let’s remember that there is doubt as to whether he is qualified to be President at all.

I am not convinced he is on the side of the government, he just called for calm. That isn’t exactly a sign of stellar support.
If he had come out and said everyone else butt out, that would be a better response by the President.

Not really a coup when they are simply enforcing the law, is it?

Birth Certificate or IMPEACH!
I wonder what will happen if the true and original Kenyan Birth Certificate shows up. Would it take an impeachment, or could the Supreme Court tell the Joint Chiefs to throw him into the street?
Would that make Biden president? What about the status of every single executive order and/or law that were signed by 0bama? Would they be null and void since they were signed by someone unqualified and thus not actually POTUS?
The mind boggles.

Right, lets get our troops out of the over 100 countries they are in , and start minding our own damn business.
Half of the problem with the GOP is they want to go to war with Russia if Russia invades a country on their own border, while we’re half a world away.

That is largely the fault of our State Department. I think a Tom Clancy book put it best: the State Department’s purpose is to represent US government policy to other governments, NOT represent other governments’ policies in Washington.” That would be the purpose of their embassies in Washington...
