Had enough? You and I, and all informed and concerned Patriots have spent countless hours on the phones and sending e-mails to our representatives, only for them to ignore us once again.
Now what are you going to do? Have more TEA PARTIES? That worked out great, didn't it? I appreciate your efforts; been there and done that when our Fedgov would still listen.
However, you are butting your heads up against the newly formed marxist Fedgov leviathan with signs and slogans, with nothing to back it up.
Once again, I say it is time for civil disobedience. THE only thing these corrupt self-serving totalitarian career politicians acknowledge is MASSIVE civil disobedience as in, Viet Nam war protests.
The next time you gather, it's time to annul (Websters: to make ineffective or inoperative) the totalitarian State that is exponentially growing by the week from the obambi,reid,pelosi socialist triad. Your Nation is slipping away while you conduct Parties and try to be the good guys. Maybe it's time for you to be the "assertive" guys.
The Republic is over, unless us Patriots are willing to give more. I am, and I have my SO's blessing to do so. I'm willing to go to jail for a day or two to make my point. Are you?
This needs to be done, I am willing to go to jail in this pursuit if there is going to be a massive revolt that will make a difference. There needs to be a concerted, unified effort as the government will make examples of only a few doing it.

Interestingly, if you look at the Dem/GOP color coded county map from the 11/08 election, you’ll see that the ‘blue’ areas are almost all in urban centers, with low gun density, no wild food, and high population density. The ‘red’ areas are almost all rural, with high gun density, plenty of wild food, and low population density.
If things reach the boiling point in this country, and food distribution breaks down, I think a whole lot of the ‘blue’ population will be gone in short order. Especially if it happens in the wintertime. So, there is a silver lining... ;-)
I make it about a 50-50 chance at this point, higher if cap and trade and/or the health program passes. I’m convinced we’re looking at 20% unemployment and hyperinflation at best, without either passing.

Well, if energy gets to costing too much, I just guess we can’t pay for it.... or buy much of anything else... can we?
John Galt needs to figure out how to stay warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and sustain his family’s needs without enriching carbon traders.
Too bad so sad for all those whose jobs depend on our partipating in the economy. Especially in the districts of those who voted for the national energy tax.

I keep reading here about the need for another Civil War.
Frankly, the notion puzzles me.
In the first Civil War—or War Between the States—the South tried to secede from the Union. The two sides of the war generally lived in distinct geographical areas, wore different uniforms, and fought under different flags. Their military and political objectives were clear.
Where are the two sides today? We are all mixed in together. In my neighborhood, for instance, most people are fairly conservative; judging from the signs during the last election, Obama and the Democrats did not win here. Across town, however, it is an entirely different story. So are we supposed to secede from them, or are they supposed to secede from us?
If we do go to war, who will be the enemy? What are the military and political objectives? Do we attack the guy down the street because he supported Obama? Do we burn down the cities in order to save them? How many Americans do we have to kill to get our way?
Far from getting us back to being a great country, a civil war would doom this country. Either the United States would fragment, or a despotic regime would arise to hold the country together by force.
Let's give up this childish fantasy that civil war is the solution to our problems.

You need to think this out more. To go ahead with such actions now would be suicidal. People are not prepared.
First, you’ll need to inform people about jury nullification. You can bet the leftists in the US attorney’s offices will pile on the charges, probably including charges of terrorism. You’re looking at serious prison time, not one or two days.
You should also be designating “safe houses” in all communities for when the Marxists start hunting down “terrorist” leaders.
You also need to be refining local techniques to combat the apparatus of the fascist state. That means taking control of your local government. You need some power behind you and power comes from governmernt, including local government. No movement will have any success unless you have a political base to operate from. Check out the period from 1750 to 1775 prior to our revolution. The founders first established local control before taking on the British Crown. I believe we must do the same.
Sorry, Navy Vet, I believe you’re way ahead of the parade. You need to slow down and let the people catch up to you. I think your idea is viable, but people need to be educated first.
I’d recommend you read “Story of a Secret State” by Jan Karski, which tells the story of a resistence government set up to fight the Nazi occupiers in Poland.
Show up at their homes? I like that.
But behaving like the Libs and their civil disobedience drum beat that most of us laughed at for the 8 yrs of GW. Maybe it’s a generational thing. I always thought the protesters of the 60’s were a bunch of losers and freaks and my mind hasn’t changed with the years and protesters and “civil disobedience” of late.
Go to jail to get their attention? No. They don’t give a damn. The Libs will then call you a criminal tea bagger and laugh at your pathetic attempt to speak out against the ONE.
I will do my thing and work diligently to get these wankers voted out, starting with my local pollution (not a spelling error)- Lindsey Graham and the list goes on.
