Ominous as it sounds? "FEMA Web Page Shows Martial Law Exercise With Foreign Troops"
http://www.fema.gov/media/fact_sheets/nle09.shtm ^

I am not vouching for this, but it does sound worrying, or is it standard practice? see info at site below:

FEMA Web Page Shows Martial Law Exercise With Foreign Troops Set for July 2009

http://www.fema.gov/media/fact_sheets/nle09.shtm

The above is a link to FEMA.GOV website page that details the upcoming nationwide training exercise in July 2009. This is directly cut and pasted the full text below from the site.

This is very alarming. This IS NOT an exercise for FEMA to practice disaster relief. This page states very clearly that this exercise will "focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery".

AND THEY ARE BRINGING FOREIGN TROOPS INTO OUR TOWNS AND CITIES TO TRAIN TO POLICE US. As stated in FEMA website, "This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09."

Imagine, armed Mexican troops protecting us from "terrorism" in the United States! Don't you feel safer already? ¿Dónde están sus documentos?

Rumors of foreign troops on our soil have been circulated for a long time. BUT this is not a rumor. It is a blatant fact as stated by FEMA on their government website. THIS IS AN INVASION.

During Katrina the federal government went in and disarmed everyone, even law abiding citizens. Recently, Tennessee passed into law a bill that states that Tennessee residents undoubtedly have the right to keep and possess their firearms during martial rule. Why did they feel the need to do this? And what does it mean when our government is running martial law drills on a nationwide scale?

We are told that this is just a training exercise. Should we believe that? Foreign troops in the Southwest sounds incredibly similar to what we learned, back in the 1980's, from undercover FBI agent Larry Grathwohl.

Probably liaison and staff officers from those countries acting as observers, rather than any combat or support troops. As ominous as it sounds, I wouldn’t get my dander up too much about this since it is part of joint combined doctrine.

No way. Foreign troops would trigger an all out assault on the White House, mainly by an enraged citizenry. The military would desert their overseas postings in droves, not to mention the highly adaptive citizenry.

We can make our own weapons, even without guns. Of course, we can make guns too. They can’t outlaw pipes.

The Japanese should take notice and see if their concerns during WW-II about an invasion on U.S. soil were unfounded.

"Using foreign troops makes it easier for me...."

That's why I like my M1 carbine...perhaps no other weapon has culled a similar number of the enemies of liberty.

Not only was it used against the Japanese and Germans in WWII, North Koreans and Chinese during Korea, but it was also popular with the French Foreign Legion in North Africa and Indochina, the nascent IDF in the early days of Israeli statehood, and used by US Forces and S. Vietnamese forces in Vietnam long after the Garand had been replaced by the M14 and later M16.

Pick it up and it smells of Hoppes #9 and freedom ;-)

“....The NLE 09 scenario will begin in the aftermath of a notional (sic) terrorist event outside of the United States, and exercise play will center on preventing subsequent efforts by the terrorists to enter the United States and carry out additional attacks. This scenario enables participating senior officials to focus on issues related to preventing terrorist events domestically and protecting U.S. critical infrastructure.

NLE 09 will allow terrorism prevention efforts to proceed to a logical end (successful or not), with no requirement for response or recovery activities.

NLE 09 will be an operations-based exercise to include: activities taking place at command posts, emergency operation centers, intelligence centers and potential field locations to include federal headquarters facilities in the Washington D.C. area, and in federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector facilities in FEMA Region VI, which includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas....”

Looks like the feds are intent on protecting themselves should 0bama’s amateur foreign policy illicit another attack.

Be wary, but frankly I don’t see an ‘invasion’ of foreign troops. Besides, if the Aussies are involved, offer them a cold beer.

Zer0Bamas' Clintoon-ism:

"Depends" on the definition(s) of terrorism.
What IS terrorism? ....Who IS a Terrorist?
...What IS your reference point?

We cannot expect the Americans to jump from capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their
elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of socialism until they suddenly awake
to find they have Communism." - Soviet Leader Nikita Khrushchev, 1959

I’m pretty much of a mind that an armed foreign uniform on an American street gets a bullet.

OK, I read the whole thing and looked at this through two very different scenarios. Had this come out while GWBush was The President of The United States, I would not be very concerned. However, considering who is playing president now and who he has surrounded himself with, this is real damn scary. Can’t prove anything now, but look at what ozero has been doing over the last 6 months, and it is real hard not to imagine that this gang would do anything. He is ignoring the Constitution and is acting like he is an African dictator. I really believe that he is capable of such things and considering that Waco and Elian Gonzales happened under a much less vengeful dimocrat, it looks possible. How probable? That’s anyone’s guess.

A dream scenario, to be sure. Just too good to be believed.

Combine this with rumors of a near term future “bank holiday”

Interesting scenario from the tin hat brigade, published in 2008, predicting a bank holiday to precede planned overnight devaluation of the USD and conversion to “amero” as currency

http://www.silverbearcafe.com/private/10.08/amero.html

Anyone who knew this would not be much concerned about spending the US dollar into complete unrecoverable bankruptcy for, say, healthcare and seizure of more US industry... would he

he might even want to involve Canada Mexico and even Australia and Great Britain into a strategic “FEMA defense” exercise in the USA, to exercise plans for crowd control as people queue and scramble for “new” currency to buy food and necessities

foreign troops speaking english (and spanish), carrying out orders domestic commanders and troops might balk at

tin hat off

200 million well armed snipers using "Red Dawn" hit and run tactics. You sure you want to try us?

The shortage in ammo is for a reason. (not counting the ammo stocked up over the past 10 years.)

Hoppes. One of the best smells in the world.
Along with pork ribs cooking and cold beer.
Alchohol, tobacco and firearms. Should not be an agency but a good recipe for a party.
I’ll bring the chips.

ah, but Brits and Aussies are not so “foreign” as to enrage the populace. (the Mexicans likely kept in LA and hispanic areas)

They look and kinda talk just like us. They just have loyalties to non-US commanders

Very well thought out.

The exercise premise that Australia and Britain would need to be involved in preventing terrorist entry to the USA- is far fetched
