WASHINGTON, June 23 (Reuters) - Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives working on climate change bill said on Tuesday that they had reached a deal on difficult agriculture issues that will clear the way for a vote, and probable passage, in the chamber this week.
"We have an agreement finally," said House Agriculture Committee chairman Collin Peterson whose support has been widely sought by House Democratic leaders.
Representative Henry Waxman, a main proponent for legislation to reduce industrial emissions of carbon dioxide told reporters the U.S. Department of Agriculture, not the Environmental Protection Agency, will be put in charge of overseeing some carbon reductions efforts by farmers, a major demand of farm-state Democrats in the House. Waxman also said that with this deal he thought there would be "a majority to pass the bill," in the House. (Reporting by Richard Cowan, Editing by Jackie Frank)

My congresscritters are murtha, specter and casey. I will contact them once(lost causes) and spend my time emailing other congress folks who are on our side or undecided.
This will be a disaster. The light at the end of the tunnel will be the freight train of depression and tyranny headed straight for us.
Given enough time they have finally found a way to tax the air that we breathe.

My advice is to prepare for enormous enery rate hikes and rolling blackouts. And even after voters realize the monster their stupidity last fall unleashed and make a correction, the interests that will be entrenched by this scam will live on forever. Idiotic leftist initiatives are immortal once enacted. Same for socialized medicine. It's like current Dems in congress, even those in swing districts, are on a kamikaze mission. If their careers are a casualty of this rush to destroy everything decent about this country, they will just live on the lobbying circuit they created the market for while in power.

Levin's opening segment tonight was about this monstrosity Cap and Tax (Cap and Kill) legislation.
He said the draft bill is 1,200 pages long and the vote is Friday. Like Porkulus, no one will have time to read it before voting on it.
Levin says they are only 8 votes shy of getting this passed. He said Pelosi is "offering everything and everything" to get the last remaining votes needed. (Mob rule anyone?)
Amerika, it was nice knowing you if this (and Health Care "reform", card check and immigration reform) passes.

The bill aims to cap greenhouse-gas emissions at 17% of 2005 levels by 2020 and at roughly 80% by 2050, creating a market for companies to buy and sell the right to emit carbon dioxide and other gases. It also mandates a new renewable electricity standard and establishes new national building codes.

forget passing a bill to save us from the bogus hoax of “global warming”, we need a bill to save us from the rogue government of the USA, some of the most evil, corrupt, and disgusting people i have ever seen in my life.
