Not just perhaps, but YES!, and much more as described below
The cost of the convention includes events with food/beverage Friday evening, breakfast buffet Saturday morning and dinner/speakers/entertainment Saturday night. On Sunday there will also be workshops for all Freepers to attend with drinks/food available. All at a 4-star hotel.
Well, they wrote some good toe-tappin' songs in those days.
Now I can't get it out of my head, either!

“Now I can’t get it out of my head, either!”
I even pulled the song up on the net to listen and sing along! LOL!

We have two more Freeper entries into our Free Republic T-Shirt Drawing! Freepers "Hildy" and "Sam" will now be entered and have a chance to win a beautiful personalized FR T-shirt!
REMEMBER, THE CUT-OFF FOR THIS DRAWING IS MIDNIGHT TONIGHT, EASTERN TIME!
There is STILL plenty of time for more Freepers who have booked a room to purchase their Convention ticket and enter the drawing! Do it now and join the other 5 Freepers and you will also have a chance to be the"Supreme Winner" of a neat FR T-Shirt!
yes, it is difficult to get to these events when $$$ are limited. I must miss most because of this factor. I care give my invalid mom.. no income either. Good luck finding a sponsor. perhaps you can catch a ride with someone ,,, I have stayed in my van even in past!
Hi Dave,
What state are you from? Perhaps I can get you in touch with some other Freepers who are sharing expenses. :)
gonna dance off both of my shoes,
when dey play those jelly roll blues
way cool ... i was planning on flying in weds pm and flying out noon sun ... was unaware activities were on for sun.
is there still something planned for thursday, or should i just push my travel plans back a day
I am booking Southwest Midway to Dulles for $203 round trip.
Our FR Convention events begin Friday late afternoon.
I was told that Reagan airport is closer to the Sheraton.
Happy Father’s Day to all Dads.
Give Dad tickets to the Convention for Father’s Day.
See you in DC in September.
I will DITTO that!! :)
This quote from original thread:
Thursday, 9-10:
Morning: Liberty Summit with select Congressmen and Senators
Afternoon: Grassroots visits with Representatives and Senators
Evening: Time to explore Washington
Can you see why I am confused? Glad I did not yet book non-refundable tickets. I guess I'll drop back and fly in Thursday and plan to leave Monday.
Thanks for the tip on Reagan, you can throw a rock and hit the hotel from there .... and thde fare's only about ten bucks higher.
Yes, I can see why you were confused. That event on Thursday is being put on by another group, not Free Republic. We were listing various events that other groups were having as Freepers who are in DC earlier may want to attend. Freepers will also attend various events during the day on Saturday.
To clear it up, our ticket to our National Free Republic Convention covers a Friday evening event, Saturday breakfast, Saturdatday night banquet/guest speakers, and Sunday afternoon workshops with drinks/food.
Friday evening event
is this the event with the bottomless martini pitcher? ;^)
seriesly,
Thanks for clearing it up... arrive Thursday, depart Monday ... works for me.
Any idea on proper attire for the various events?
“Friday evening event
is this the event with the bottomless martini pitcher? ;^)”
No, it sure isn’t! :) Friday FR events are not “partying events”.
Friday evening we will have a gathering at Walter Reed in support of our military. Then we will move back to the Hotel for a gathering which will be a candle light vigil for all victims of 9/11/2001.
