What all is included in the $175 price of admission? the friday night banquet, perhaps?

Not just perhaps, but YES!, and much more as described below

The cost of the convention includes events with food/beverage Friday evening, breakfast buffet Saturday morning and dinner/speakers/entertainment Saturday night. On Sunday there will also be workshops for all Freepers to attend with drinks/food available. All at a 4-star hotel.

I wonder how many people still remember "The Darktown Strutters' Ball". Are we dating ourselves?

Well, they wrote some good toe-tappin' songs in those days.

Now I can't get it out of my head, either!

Before you drive to DC, know you should be able to get plane tickets for $300. I've done it for close to $200 before.

What state are you from? Perhaps I can get you in touch with some other Freepers who are sharing expenses. :)

Our FR Convention events begin Friday late afternoon.

I was told that Reagan airport is closer to the Sheraton.

Our FR Convention events begin Friday late afternoon.

This quote from original thread:

Thursday, 9-10:
Morning: Liberty Summit with select Congressmen and Senators
Afternoon: Grassroots visits with Representatives and Senators
Evening: Time to explore Washington

Can you see why I am confused? Glad I did not yet book non-refundable tickets. I guess I'll drop back and fly in Thursday and plan to leave Monday.

Thanks for the tip on Reagan, you can throw a rock and hit the hotel from there .... and thde fare's only about ten bucks higher.

Yes, I can see why you were confused. That event on Thursday is being put on by another group, not Free Republic. We were listing various events that other groups were having as Freepers who are in DC earlier may want to attend. Freepers will also attend various events during the day on Saturday.

To clear it up, our ticket to our National Free Republic Convention covers a Friday evening event, Saturday breakfast, Saturdatday night banquet/guest speakers, and Sunday afternoon workshops with drinks/food.

seriesly,
Thanks for clearing it up... arrive Thursday, depart Monday ... works for me.

Any idea on proper attire for the various events?

“Friday evening event

No, it sure isn’t! :) Friday FR events are not “partying events”.

Friday evening we will have a gathering at Walter Reed in support of our military. Then we will move back to the Hotel for a gathering which will be a candle light vigil for all victims of 9/11/2001.
