NEW DINOSAUR: Fossil Fingers Solve Bird Wing Mystery? [Dinosaur gives Creationists the finger]

June 17, 2009—The fossil hand of a long-necked, ostrich-like dinosaur recently found in China may help solve the mystery of how bird wings evolved from dinosaur limbs, according to a new study.

The ancient digits belonged to a 159-million-year-old theropod dinosaur dubbed Limusaurus inextricabilis. Theropods are two-legged dinos thought to have given rise to modern birds.

Although it was a distant relative of Tyrannosaurus rex, the newfound dinosaur was a small herbivore, said study co-author James Clark, a biologist at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The animal was about 5.6 feet (1.7 meters) long and had relatively short, clawless forearms.

"Its head is [also] unusual because it doesn't have any teeth, so it would have had a beak of some sort, although not a sharp one," Clark said. (Related: "New Dinosaur Was Nut-Cracking 'Parrot.'")

Primitive feathers may have covered the dinosaur's body, but there is no direct evidence for that, noted Clark, whose work was funded in part by the National Geographic Society. (The National Geographic Society owns National Geographic News.)

Then who took those neat pictures of blue and yellow feather dusters on legs?

Seriously, Marco's trip was utterly amazing.

Someone needs to alert Albert Einstein, and Sir Isaac Newton that they were wrong and that a bird has been discovered that’s been stuck in the mud flipping them off for years! Thanks to the hard work of a bunch of college educated atheist goobers that refuse to get it in their head that the chances of a single living cell being created from any and all recipes of any and all that the goobers can come up with, is absolutely impossible. The odds makers put the
chance at 10 to the 40,000 power. That’s just for ONE cell, minus Murphy’s law or anything that might get in the way of a perfect environment ie, second law of thermodynamics (things fall apart, break, rust, die). Evolutionist, once and for all, you are retarded and forever retarding. Science proves the impossibility of evolution, how can NatGeo get it so backwards? It is almost as if they are a bunch of tools being led by, oh I don’t know, could it be Satan? (Yes that was the church lady!) DNA? No big deal, the atomic structure, things spinning around things and trees and seeds and birds and all the male and female of all creation, NO BIG DEAL, nothing is to hard for an evolutionist to “finger” out. Be ashamed of yourselves NatGeo for taking on a Creator that is apparently, based on the Creation, approximately trillions of times more advanced then you. George Washington and company, Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein knew of this powerful Creator, maybe NatGeo can do a special on how pathetically stupid they all were. No Creator = NO YOU!

Biology 101 - source http://web.jjay.cuny.edu/~acarpi/NSC/13-cells.htm
The cell is the smallest unit of life in our bodies. In the body, there are brain cells, skin cells, liver cells, stomach cells, and the list goes on. All of these cells have unique functions and features. And all have some recognizable similarities. All cells have a ‘skin’, called the plasma membrane, protecting it from the outside environment. The cell membrane regulates the movement of water, nutrients and wastes into and out of the cell. Inside of the cell membrane are the working parts of the cell. At the center of the cell is the cell nucleus. The cell nucleus contains the cell’s DNA, the genetic code that coordinates protein synthesis. In addition to the nucleus, there are many organelles inside of the cell - small structures that help carry out the day-to-day operations of the cell. One important cellular organelle is the ribosome. Ribosomes participate in protein synthesis. The transcription phase of protein synthesis takes places in the cell nucleus. After this step is complete, the mRNA leaves the nucleus and travels to the cell’s ribosomes, where translation occurs. Another important cellular organelle is the mitochondrion. Mitochondria (many mitochondrion) are often referred to as the power plants of the cell because many of the reactions that produce energy take place in mitochondria. Also important in the life of a cell are the lysosomes. Lysosomes are organelles that contain enzymes that aid in the digestion of nutrient molecules and other materials. end

As far as we know, the cell is the smallest building block to life. So if you want to have life you need to have a few cells near by, they don’t randomly jump out of dirt, rock or water. SCIENCE has already proven how complex it all is and how life cannot come from the wishful thinking of grumpy atheist that had a bad religious experience in their life.

I think the bird is flipping off NatGeo!

Just one question, well make that two, I want to ask. 1:)Has there ever been one of the Chinese "bird/dino" fossils that have NOT been proved to be faked(glued together, false reports ect.)?

2:)If Birds came from dinos why raptor like dinos? Why dinos that could fly already, all the Pterodactyl family for instance and related species. They could already fly, seems to me if any dino was going to grow feathers it would be a species that could fly already, not one that was ground bound.

The explanation I read in one book was that raptors would run around waving the arms in the air trying to catch insects and this was why they grew feathers(totally ignoring the fact no raptor, or any other dino, skeleton has been found with actual feathers). This is about as loony as statement as I have ever read from a so called scientist(anyone giving the explanation is not a scientist)and ranks right in with global warming and the statement about how life STARTED on earth, I.E.,"Suddenly life happened!", yep, that is science at it's finest.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in science, but I believe in science being objective. Evolutionary scientist are a lot like global warming scientist, if they don't keep finding stuff to suppor there theories they don't get the grants, therefore there is lots of lying and faking of fossils going on, believe it or not I don't care.

Please address all your replies to someone else as I won't respond, I can't be moved from my argument and any one who attempts to answer my two questions will give a plausible answer, this statement is based on past experience.

Correction to #43:Please address all your replies to someone else as I won't respond, I can't be moved from my argument and any one who attempts to answer my two questions will give a plausible answer, this statement is based on past experience.

Should read any one who attempts to answer my two questions will NOT give a plausible answer, this statement is based on past experience.

>>>[Dinosaur gives Creationists the finger]

Why not. Everybody else rightly does.

>>>I believe in science being objective. Evolutionary scientist are a lot like global warming scientist, if they don’t keep finding stuff to suppor there theories they don’t get the grants, therefore there is lots of lying and faking of fossils going on

One could as easily say that if preachers don’t keep scaring parishioners they don’t get the collection plate full. Oral Roberts shaking down the faithful to pay up “or God will take him home”. Jim Bakker with his mansions, water slide, and floozies. Enough splinters of the “true cross” floating around to build a housing development. Lots of faking there too amongst the nuggets of truth. And that doesn’t even touch on obsolete or New Age religions that current believers think were false from the get-go.

If you think advanced paleontology can be done without funding, fine. But expeditions and analysis are expensive and have to be paid for somehow. “Grants” isn’t the bogeyman word that someone on *EVERY* FR science thread seems to think it is. It comes to be used as no more then an excuse for yahoos to stick their fingers in their ears.

The thing about modern science is somebody always comes along to double-check the results. If fraud or mistake is involved, it gets found much more reliably then with uncheckable philosophical mumbo-jumbo.

>>> I can’t be moved from my argument

Unsurprisingly.

Now I know you’re a complete crackpot.

No one with even half a brain would or could make that statement.

Not much of a student of history, are you?

If you cannot handle recorded history, what are you doing in this debate? You should have a glib, fast answer (however false it man be) to offer.

It is impossible to believe the words of Christ, and also believe evolution. One or the other has to be a superficial belief.

So Christ was fallible?

No, poor readers are fallible!

If someone doesn’t understand what they read, how can they believe it?
