Embassy Suites, part of the Hilton Hotels Corp., pulled advertising on CBS' site because of complaints, company spokeswoman Kendra Walker told TVGuide.com. The company was not an advertiser on Letterman's show.
"We received lots of e-mails from concerned guests and we assessed that the statement that he made was offensive enough to our guests and prospective guests that we elected to take the ads down," Walker said. She declined to release the cost of the ads.
CBS declined to comment Tuesday.

Thanks for the list.
I went to a meeting at a Hilton today.

In response to your email regarding MARS SNACKFOOD US.
We are writing in response to your recent communication which objects to the placement of advertising on David Letterman. We appreciate your concern and thank you for taking the time to contact us.
While we do not "sponsor" television shows, we do contract for commercial time months in advance for those programs which we feel effectively reach our consumers. As a matter of policy we make every effort to avoid programs containing exploitative examples of ethnic, racial, religious or sexual stereotyping.
We apologize if we were unsuccessful in this instance, and we will share your comments with our advertising agencies. Our loyal consumers are very important to us, and we thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

Hip Hip Hooray!!!
Anybody have a link to Embassy Suites? My Dad is coming into town and I would like to book him a room.
The MET LIFE woman was particularly snarky with me when I suggested they move their ads. She sighed loudly and asked if this was about Palin and then said" not everyone feels the way you do you know".
The worst result would be if he made all of us act as he does. Then we would have no complaint with his gutter talk.
Just because he wants to act like a pervert - does not mean we would ever act that way. We have far, far more class than a Letterman.

I won't resort to the same type of language, but it seems we always extend a fair shake to Libs and pull back a bloody stump.
Get her name...call HER boss.
“We have far, far more class than a Letterman.”
Well, some of us do...but, like Ann Coulter, I believe in fighting fire with fire and that joking around about Dave’s wife having a face like a horse and that his joke about unwed sex can, as in his case, produce a child like his bastard son are all in good fun, like his “humorous” antics are to him...it’s all JUST A JOKE, DAVE!
No. I figured she was expressing a personal opinion and she's entitled to that.
If MET company policy differs from hers she will hear about it from up the chain. I did not want to get into an argument and be hung up on.
I was polite and firm however.
BraveMan,
Prayers for you and your son,
What a beautiful smile.
GOD bless.
Now that we know who the advertisers are, does anyone have a list of alternate products i.e. Kraft mayo instead of Hellman’s? Writing to the advertisers isn’t enough, they have to feel the sting of the boycott.
Good on Embassey Suites.
Hmmm... I always try to stay at a Hilton hotel. I can now continue to do so with a clean conscience. :-)
I hope Dave isn’t hit too hard by the layoff...the hay bills and the salaries for the muckers in the stall for his wife must be enormous...JUST A JOKE DAVE...HAVE I TOLD LOUSY JOKES BEFORE...YES...AM I SORRY I TOLD THIS ONE...MAYBE...BUT I’VE TOLD A THOUSAND LOUSY JOKES BEFORE...
Met Life, they're one of those thieving whole-life scams.
