Four Muslim Chinese Uighurs who spent more than seven years in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp plan to open a restaurant serving their native cuisine in breezy Bermuda, where the United States deposited them this week, The Post has learned.

The men said they were ecstatic to be restarting their lives and expressed deep gratitude to Bermuda for taking them in after the United States determined they were not "enemy combatants" -- even as the relocation set off diplomatic fury among allies.

Café Kashkar in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn is a local Uighur spot and could show the budding restaurateurs a thing or two in the kitchen.

"It's very tasty. I feel like I'm at home here," said Uzbekistan native Marina Radchenko, 22, while chowing down on lamb kebabs and noodles.

After all of the commotion from their new fame, the freed Uighurs stayed in their new beachside digs yesterday and cooked themselves lunch.

"We are delighted to be on this beautiful island," one of the ex-detainees, Salahidin Abdulahat, told The Post.

"It feels great to be free after so many years of being held, even when we were innocent. We're looking forward to a great friendship with our new countrymen."

They spent their first day taking in a soccer game and watching fish swim.

The newly freed Uighurs already are laying plans for their future.

Alim Seytoff, general secretary of the Uighur American Association, said the men called Washington, DC-based Uighur activist Rebiya Kadeer on their first night of freedom and told her of their eatery idea.

"They were talking like opening a restaurant," Seytoff said. "Pretty much all Uighurs know how to cook."

The Bermuda government put the men up in a $182-a-night beachside resort called Clear View Suites & Villas. They'll also get help finding jobs under a guest-worker program. The United States is paying for the relocation.
