NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- President Barack Obama is set to release on Wednesday the details of his proposed overhaul to how financial markets are regulated, according to a report published in The Wall Street Journal Monday.

That’s the big question about all his “plans.” Who thought of them? And, another question, how long have they been in the works? This didn’t just pop into anybody’s mind overnight.
You my be right, but I think the market is smart enough to know that Zero's plan is a non starter with elections looming in 2010. I believe whatever plan we end up with will not be anything like being proposed by Zero today.

It is a fact that the left has been planning this for decades. I encountered it in the Los Angeles area and the universities there in the mid '80s. The marxists are disciplined and have a tremendous ability to plan and network.
Somehow they had 0bama ready to go when the right situation (a weak RINO and an unpopular Clinton) presented itself. Now they are masterfully putting extremely serious and long-thought-through plans into quick and sequenced effect.
IF the conservatives and other decent people don't realize how serious this is and let them have another presidential term with no fear of being punished by voters then this country really is lost.
We need to stand up against the govt shift to the left at the same time to "rise up" against the double-standard culture that is trying to squash us into silence.
All out VOTING for the Rs in 2010 is one hope - we MUST pour our efforts into electing people who will switch out atleast 1 of the 2 congressional branches or we’re through. It’s a big task, but things may be such that the dems will suffer for their Pelosi/Obama/Reid leadership down the socialist path!

This happened during the co-presidency. The financial report numbers like CPI were diddled with using “hedonic multipliers”, for example the sale of two microwaves was made equal to the sale of a refrigerator, so the numbers would stay up (rather then show a huge dip in CPI).

They changed the way “unemployment” was calculated, too. First they changed the definition to “new unemployment claims” and then shortened the window during which you were considered unemployed, from 2 years to 18 months to a year, so that if you were out 13 months, you’d drop off the screen. It looked like unemployment was getting better or at least staying the same when it was not.
Unfortunately W kept the CPI methods. I don’t know about his unemployment numbers, though.
But that’s why it seems like the prices of everything are going up much faster than the 3% the Fedgov tells you - they are!
I think he's too stupid to think of any of it...he just signs what they stick under his nose...reads from TOTUS.... goes for burgers with Joe... on dates with his wife, from NYC to Paris.
