A source from the Ministry of Interior said that the real results were 42 million votes for Mousavi, and only 5.6 million for Ahmadinejad. Iran's Militant Clerics Society has called for the vote to be annulled and a new election held.

There are potential parallels here between today’s Iran and the Romania of 20 years ago, when the Army sided with the people against the Securitate.

Well, to some degree. The Tea Parties (one of which I attended) were definitely a point in the right direction. However, I’m talking about overwhelming masses in the streets.
