A source from the Ministry of Interior said that the real results were 42 million votes for Mousavi, and only 5.6 million for Ahmadinejad. Iran's Militant Clerics Society has called for the vote to be annulled and a new election held.

Is it just me or does anyone else find the Iranian woman hot looking? All the ones I have seen on the news reports are beautiful.
I wish Israel would take advantage of this chaos.
Thought the same thing...definitely a few steps up from their Arab counterparts.
Absolutely agree. It sounds like Rafsanjani may be making a play for Ayatollah Khameni's throne...Either way, one mullah or the other is eventually going to try to nuke Israel, so might as well exploit 'em now. Nothing like a coup, or at least an attempted one, to keep the twelvers distracted.
Yep, Major news out of Iran and we don’t hear much about it.
Fox and Friends this morning has had news about Letterman, blood donation, lowfat snacks, and unimportant drivel.
Why do they consider themselves a News Channel?
You think women are not the toughest opponents? Boy, do you have a lot to learn!! Who do you think puts the spine in their men when they falter on something important. Don’t you think the young men/students want to be seen as heros in the eyes of their women/girlfriends? Maybe you are thinking of those wimps Sarah Palin/Hillary Clinton (sarc.).
Most of the Iranians capable of waking up, and more important, doing something about it, are living in LA.
It's my belief that POTUS is conducting back channel communications with Iran through Cousin Odinga, the would-be tyrant of Kenya.
ping
SCARY! I think you are right and I do not trust the Cousin Odinga connection!
It is being reported as a total of 42 million votes. Mousavi getting 19 million and the nut getting 5+ million.
It was the nut job aka little hitler that was involved in the hostage taking of Americans in 1979.
You said — It was the nut job aka little hitler that was involved in the hostage taking of Americans in 1979.

Yeah, the funny thing is that Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs will be the ones doing in that guy, Rafsanjani, who was one of the responsible ones back then, in regards to those American hostages...
You sound incredibly naive.
Do you really not understand the difference between France and Iran?
Do you really not understand the difference between a non-free country whose nuclear policy is controlled by MAD and one with a large apocalyptic Muslim nihilist population?
How many suicide jihadists come out of China and Russia?
Hamas won the vote. I guess you would feel comfortable if they had nukes too.
Finally, elections should be the end result of freedom not the first step.
No that is not what they are chanting. (see Michael Totten http://www.michaeltotten.com/archives/2009/06/iran-on-fire.php )
They are shouting “Allahu Akbar,” God is great. You may have heard that phrase before in other contexts - jihadists like it alot.
The Real Results?
This is hearsay - but under conditions of a police state coup, we are best advised to glean what information we can, hold it provisionally, and test it as time passes. Here's what Kos Diarist Electronic Maji is hearing from Iranian journalist friends under lockdown:
Unofficial news - reports leaked results from Interior Ministry:
Eligible voters: 49,322,412
Votes cast: 42,026,078
Spoilt votes: 38,716
Mir Hossein Mousavi: 19,075,623
Mehdi Karoubi: 13,387,104
Mahmoud Ahmadi-nejad (incumbent): 5,698,417
Mohsen Rezaei (conservative candidate): 3,754,218
If this is true, it would explain the comically lop-sided total in reverse - a lovely gesture from the regime taken direct from Machiavelli - and the panicked reaction by the regime.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sounds like Baghdad Bob right about now: "It was a free and healthy election," he said.
LMAO!! Priceless!
thanks. Hadn’t seen that. At first I thought it wa a joke from our sick joke of a president.
yes. Don’t goive the useful idiots any cover.
