Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to endorse a two-state solution in a much-heralded speech this weekend, but he may stall on American demands to freeze Jewish settlements in the West Bank.
Feeling the squeeze between the US Administration, which wants a moratorium on settlement growth and a commitment to a Palestinian state, and his national-religious coalition, which favours neither, the Israeli Prime Minister appears likely to try to steer a middle course.
Israeli newspapers were full of speculation about what Mr Netanyahu who has so far refused openly to back a Palestinian state alongside Israel might offer to deflect pressure from Washington. Ehud Barak, his Defence Minister, urged him this week to recognise a Palestinian state, but members of Mr Netanyahus right-wing Likud party have cautioned him against the move.

I hear of the Lord showing himself in many ways everyday to a lot of people. I think most people just stopped SEEING His presence around us, or have never really looked... But, if you prefer to believe He is not here, or just not paying attention, or whatever, I think you will be shortchanging yourself, personally.
As far as reality being vicious - has it ever been any other way? It’s not like Israel does a lot of giving in to threats, and they are fully aware of the situation with the powers against them. Bibi is also not your typical politician I don’t believe.
Sorry if I’m misunderstanding your post in any way...
DEMANDS? Who is Obama to make demands on Israel? WTF is bibi afraid of? Grow a pair!
Bibi knuckle under to the Kenyan....nope. I’ll have to see that to believe it. In other news.... I never would have believe Obummer would have got elected.....so Im clueless anymore about how the world works.
I sure have faith in Bibi more than I do in the Bamster! ha.
The Palestinians don’t actually want a two-state solution. They want Israel wiped out.
You said you used to admire and respect Netanyahu, but no longer. You said you were disgusted. In my view that qualifies for my characterization.
But even if you claim that all you said was that you were "disappointed" - even that's based on nothing more than speculation from the drive-by media. How about waiting for the actual speech to lose all respect and admiration for the man?
And Netanyahu knows it. That will figure into his final stance even more than 0bama's pressure.
The Lord shows Himself at all times of day and night. It's not His fault you refuse to see.
Actually, what it said is there is a whole lot of speculation, and nothing more. There were no statements from Bibi himself — just others, some names, some un-named, and it would seem some from a while back tossed in for filler, but not much new... :)
Anyway, I’ll be praying Bibi stands with courage against Obama and the Arab League. It’s senseless to give in to anything they are demanding, really. Israel knows the violence will not end until the Arabs control all of Jerusalem, so why should they give in under a false peace?
Like you, I’ll be hoping Bibi doesn’t disappoint, or that his plans are two-steps ahead of where we see them, and his enemies think they are as well...
He will do the same as all the others have done, say that of course he supports a 2-state solution but the Palestinians have to meet certain conditions bla bla bla & hope to stall the implementation of the plan.
Obama is the perfect object lesson when it comes to how easy it will be for the real Anti-Christ to fool so many people...
I’m thinking of another spot that starts with a G and ends with mo
Noooooo!
...comes after they've assumed room temperature and go to 'meet their maker'. It's up to the pali-sphincters themselves to choose which "state" they want to spend eternity...heaven or hell.
Ping to pray for strength and courage for Bibi. May God make His will known as a shining straight path for Bibi and may he know the right decisions by recognizing a spirit of peace and courage in his heart and soul. May God set his angels up around Bibi to protect him during this physically and spiritually trying time.
May all the enemies of the Jewish People and Israel, and the enemies of all God’s beloved fail in their plans for destruction, death and ruin, and instead may they set traps for themselves, and lie in wait for themselves — snared by their own deceptions.
Now that’s a two-state solution I can support!!
Any Palestinian state must be demilitarized, without an air force, full-fledged army or heavy weapons.
Palestinians may not sign treaties with powers hostile to Israel.
A Palestinian state must allow Israeli civilian and military aircraft unfettered access to Palestinian airspace, allow Israel to retain control of the airwaves and to station Israeli troops on a future state's eastern and southern borders.

The Palestinians would never go along with Bibi's conditions.
Well. Amen to that!
Grrrrrrrrrr
