Taping tonight's episode of The Late Show, David Letterman took a few minutes to respond to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who called him "pathetic" in a radio interview after he made her and her family the butt of a recent Top 10 list. The late-night host had drawn particular fire from Palin and some pundits for a joke about one of Palin's daughters being impregnated by New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez during a trip to Yankee Stadium. Camp Palin apparently took the joke to be a crack against Palin's 14-year-old daughter Willow, who had recently attended a Yankees game, but Letterman insisted today that the real target was 18-year-old daughter Bristol.
“We were, as we often do, making jokes about people in the news and we made some jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter [Bristol]... and now they’re upset with me…” Letterman says on tonight's show. "These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter. I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl.... Am I guilty of poor taste? Yes. Did I suggest that it was okay for her 14-year-old daughter to be having promiscuous sex? No." Saying he hopes he's "cleared part of this up," Letterman extended an invitation to Palin to come on the show as a guest.
I agree, he knew darn well Willow was with her, NOT Bristol. And hey you loser, that was NOT an apology!
This, is another example as to why I cannot stomach the man, or his show. He is just a sleazy little man.

Thanks for posting the info! David Letterman is a sleeze bag who use to hit on flight attendants all the time(probably still does). I know someone he hit on years ago and he got turned down. She said he did it all the time with other attendants and was always turned down...lol. So he has this animus thing going about flight attendants now. So when he ‘jokes’ about Palin looking like a ‘slutty flight attendant’, he is really just venting his animus towards her and flight attendants in general.

I smell blood! I just luv how the Palins turned it completely around on him by making it a Willow issue. Turned the guy into a pedophile right before his frickin' lyin' eyes! That's the way we need to fight, boys and girls!
I went over to the POS Letterman’s site and posted my comments, and told them my tv will never be on CBS again. If all conservatives get together and stop supporting this nonsense, they may all go under. I will take the time to tell his sponsers the same.

He was making it about Willow in the first place. It was always about Willow. Willow was the only daughter attending the events in NY. Bristol wasn’t. On all photos and videos of these NY tour, you see Todd, Sarah and Willow.
Letterman knew it, the whole media knew it.
Letterman specifically NEVER said Bristol, but just “Palin’s daughter”. It was clearly Willow.

They should ONLY accept the invitation if they are going to kick his sorry butt.
