This is the biggest threat to American knife owners in U.S. history. AKTI informs us that this "Customs' proposal will make criminal out of 35.6 million Americans."

Yezzir! That'll git yal a BUNCH of votes in the mid-terms!

Juuuust keep it up dum-azzez. I have seen to-the-bone stupid in the past but this is downright aww-some!

This must not be allowed to go through. Are we turning into England, where people are not even allowed to carry pocket knives? This is insanity and must be stopped!

Of interest is the fact that there are very few pocket knives made in the US. And a large percentage of pocket knives sold have the little piece on the blade which allows one to open it one handed. A very handy feature that I like.

Anyway, I rep for a number of knife wholesalers, and just by stopping importation the feds will pretty much eliminate pocket knives. Of course they already know this.

Each day I think that I can no longer be amazed at what the libs are doing, or the willingness of the average citizen to poo poo it. And each day it seems to get more frightening. Unless there is some sort of mass epiphany of average Americans, and soon, we are cooked. And I don’t believe in those kinds of miracles.

Sheesh, I may have just made outlaws out of my Mother and Mother-In-Law. This past Mother's day I sent them "rescue knives." These have built-in seatbelt cutters, glass-breaker tips, and the obligatory one-handed-opening thumb studs. Apparently, these may become illegal. I'd like to see them try to haul a couple of 70 something grandmothers off to jail.

If this comes to pass, then I guess I just lost my Colt Tailwind assisted-opening knife somewhere... ;-) Hmm, if folders are illegal, how 'bout a big old fixed-bladed knife then?

Just look at it as stimulus for the knife makers and importers! Their sales will double overnight starting NOW!
