Venezuela Chavez says "Comrade" Obama more left-wing

CARACAS, June 2 (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Tuesday that he and Cuban ally Fidel Castro risk being more conservative than U.S. President Barack Obama as Washington prepares to take control of General Motors Corp.

During one of Chavez's customary lectures on the "curse" of capitalism and the bonanzas of socialism, the Venezuelan leader made reference to GM's bankruptcy filing, which is expected to give the U.S. government a 60 percent stake in the 100-year-old former symbol of American might.

"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right," Chavez joked on a live television broadcast.

During a decade in government, Chavez has nationalized most of Venezuela's key economic sectors, including multibillion dollar oil projects, often via joint ventures with the private sector that give the state a 60 percent controlling stake.

Obama has vowed to quickly sell off General Motors once the auto giant is back on its feet, but the government will initially control the company after a $30 billion injection of taxpayer funds.

Putin gives our marxist lectures on Capitalism. The Chi-coms lecture us on monetary policy and capitalism. Now his buddy Hugo tells it like it is for once.

We are so screwed unless we get rid of this fraudulent POS.

“We are so screwed unless we get rid of this fraudulent POS”

As Nikita said, pre pounding his loafer on the podium, ‘ ..we shall buy you from within.. ‘.

Here's a hint, Hugo.... that book you gave him had nothing whatsoever to do with it. He had that down by the time he was 14.

It may not be fatal if we get his marxist ass out of power in 2012 and the GOP grows some balls ASAP.

“Nikita was right.”

Not many remember that. Nor that Stalin almost had him permanently re-educated/located.

The diabolically clever way to crush a country — rather than pressing on it from without so that it yields, empty it from within, so that it implodes. Ya think we’da learned something from Zimbabwe, but no!

I figure at some point during the peak summer season or possibly later in the year just before the hard part of winter that Obama will find a way to hobble certain US oil companies or a shutdown of key refineries and then gives Chavez a blank check to sell his oil and gas in the US.

At a huge profit margin.

Birds of a feather flock together.

And so what if GM hits the ash heap of history (other than the sell off of its marques to fire sale patrons, who will in all likelihood carry forth the old GM warranties so that public goodwill towards the marques they have purchased will survive). Where are the dozens of other mighty marques of the early 20th century?

Saturn is an odd case, and probably deserves to live on as a distinct entity. I could see, say, Kia buying it. It never had a place in the traditional GM car pecking order. At one point, well-used Saturns had the dubious honor of the most-stolen cars in the USA because they sold so well.

"Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right,"

Never thought I would agree with Chavez on anything.

Yesterday we're told by the Russians (in Pravda) we are now Marxist, and now this. Just wonderful, the rest of the world can plainly see it but not the kool-aid drinkers here in the US.

What’s next? Iran telling us that we are too friendly with them? Kim John Il saying that Obama is left of Juiche principles and how that could damage the US-North Korean relationship? Saudi Arabia calling us an extremist muslim nation?

Wouldn’t suprise me...

In that light, I wonder if Obama will give defense contracts to Norinco and Itzmach and Bazalt, to please the Chinese and Russians.

The last speech of Ceausescu

This will end similarly.

The highest level of the United States Government has been infiltrated by foreign agents.

Even the liars, con men, and thieves who participated in the fraud to elect a foreign born communist crypto-muslim are rapidly becoming astounded at the chaos they have wrought.

Thus always to tyrants.

Democrats confuse the fact that Obama is competent with the fact that he is presentable. He has been known to cut his hand on the pleats of his trousers. When Obama gets up in the morning he has to make a decision of whether that day he is going to be more dapper than he is cocky or more cocky than he is dapper. In the meantime, the dominance of Obama and the Democrats in this nation is the electoral reenactment of the Bataan Death March.

Politics is a dirty job and the Democrats are the only ones dirty enough to do it. The Democrats are not a party, they’re a puddle. (Firehat)
