CARACAS, June 2 (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Tuesday that he and Cuban ally Fidel Castro risk being more conservative than U.S. President Barack Obama as Washington prepares to take control of General Motors Corp.
During one of Chavez's customary lectures on the "curse" of capitalism and the bonanzas of socialism, the Venezuelan leader made reference to GM's bankruptcy filing, which is expected to give the U.S. government a 60 percent stake in the 100-year-old former symbol of American might.
"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right," Chavez joked on a live television broadcast.
During a decade in government, Chavez has nationalized most of Venezuela's key economic sectors, including multibillion dollar oil projects, often via joint ventures with the private sector that give the state a 60 percent controlling stake.
Obama has vowed to quickly sell off General Motors once the auto giant is back on its feet, but the government will initially control the company after a $30 billion injection of taxpayer funds.

I said on 9-11 that it'll take red-blooded Americans to succeed where the terrorists failed.
I would wager that the GOP is in on the communist take over. Also to make your day, I believe the USA has had it’s last election.
We are going to suffer consequences for this societal mental and moral fart for a long time. Loving race more than loving freedom and survival is not a “value” Amerians should be entertaining in this day and age.
Actually it was "We will bury you"
Below from Wiki Answers
Did Nikita Khrushchev say we will bury you from within? In: Famous Quotations [Edit categories] [Edit] While in Jr. High School, my Social Studies teacher told the class that Nikitak Khrushchev said (and he was reading from a newspaper) that "We will bury you from within". That was such a strong comment that I still remember it some 50+ years later. I am including a quote from Wikipedia that may or may not be revisionist history:
"On another occasion, Khrushchev said in reference to capitalism, "Мы вас похороним!" (My vas pokhoronim!), translated to "We will bury you". This phrase, ambiguous both in the English language and in the Russian language, was interpreted in several ways. Later, he would refer back to the comment and state, "I once got in trouble for saying, 'We will bury you'. Of course, we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you".[cite this quote]
Since most people nowadays do not know their history, we are heading towards Nikitas prophecy. Chuck Sanborn Torrance, CA
I am old enough to remember when he said "We will bury you." After he said that them my recollection was/is that later he said something to the effect, (We won't have to bury you, you will bury yourself.) I always wondered if I had imagined that, but after seeing the quote that I highlighted in red, apparently I was not to far off in my recollection.
GM will never get back on its feet if it has to pay back all those billions. The company is simply not worth anywhere near the money the government is spending propping it up.
and those millions will vote for him again
Must get control of the house in 2010!
Don’t forget that the first leap to Socialism, the TARP, was signed by Bush and supported by McCain, Romney, and Gingrich. Never forget!
Better, thanks!
A ringing endorsement if I ever heard one... exactly for what I don't know...
Didn't you get the memo??? Neville Obama has their word they won't attack us (while their ally is in charge).
Who would know him better than his kindred spirits in Cuba and Venzuela?
I wonder how much coverage Chavez’s words will get on MSNBC.

WONDERFUL - and these people think this is a good thing!
While Bush, McCain, Romney, Gingrich and anyone else who supported TARP is deserving of all the contempt we can heap upon them, if you really think it was this country’s first leap towards socialism then you must have been asleep for the last 80-100 years.
WHO must get control of the House in 2010? The Republicans? HA! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Those lame, spend-thrift jackasses MIGHT slow the speed at which we are travelling towards the total destruction of our constitution and our country by a couple of tenths of a mile per hour, but that would be like micturating in a thunderstorm.
Now, if you meant We The People must get control of the House, then I agree with you.
Words cannot describe how much I loathe that POS in the WH. The happiest day of my life will be when I see him board Marine One and GTF out of there.
“We will destroy you from within, and we will start with the young people”. that was Kruschev in the 60s.
PING!!
