LONDON -- President Barack Obama suggested that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy _ provided it proves by the end of the year that its aspirations are peaceful.
"What I do believe is that Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations," Obama said, adding that the international community also "has a very real interest" in preventing a nuclear arms race.

You would think that with all the gas and oil they have, that they would already have a reliable electric grid in place to put all of this energy to good use.
But they don’t.
So in effect, Obama is conceding that equal rights, freedom of religion, habeas corpus and the numerous other rights and freedoms that millions of people in this world have fought and died for over the past centuries, that those fundamental rights do not apply to all the peoples of this earth.
Leave to a man who's very position at the seat of supreme power as head of the United States relied on equal rights and freedoms to poo poo those same fundamental rights as just a cultural matter.
Freedom is not cultural and there is no history book on this earth that tells us that anything other than freedom is acceptable.
