Morning, Kathy!
I'll probably volunteer to be a substitute again. Work four or five days, perhaps and pick up a little extra spending money in late Sept/early Oct.
I can't teach full time because I'm spending a week at Ten Mile River scout camp and the family hasn't discussed vacation plans (if any). I even told my wife (who once thought it was nice that I'm home with the kids but now just thinks that I'm lazy, which may be true but is totally beside the point) that summer school starts about 10 days after the last day for teachers and ends less than 2 weeks before we have to go back. Do you really want me going that insane by Columbus Day?

I had to get another new mouse for my computer. I don’t know what happend to the one I had, but it was one of those laser types and the buttons are not acting right.
There were times I would be working on an email or document and I’d try to highlight something and nothing would work. You could push the right and left buttons, but never knew anything happened. I’m glad I saved the old mouse I had years ago.

That happened to me too, twice with those type of mouse. First worry was it was the computer and I finally figured it out. ;) I learned to like the simpler mouse.

Sounds like a plan. Hope your days are going well - we don’t hear from you often enough.
Okay, time for me to rinse out the coffee pot and head off to the office. A full day of paper-pushing awaits!

Good morning, Arrowhead...((HUGS))...just in time for break and I’m starving. Thanks!
77 two days ago, and then into the 40s and rain....Yippee for the rain. Saturday is supposed to be dry, with more rain on Sunday. We’ll take it. Have a wonderful weekend, maybe a leisurely drive just for fun. How’s the garden?

I posted this on the gardening thread earlier.

“Thanks for the ping. We have been eating fresh tomatoes here in Central TX for the past two weeks. We have over 70 plants and most are loaded with fruit.
We have several squash plants and also a few golden zucchini plants. We are picking fresh squash almost daily now.
Beets are almost ready to harvest. Jalapeno peppers are about half grown. The cucumber plants are growing rapidly and I expect we should see flowers within a week or two.”

Yikes!!! I used to fly this route. My brother did too, and still does.
An airplane carrying 135 people was forced to make an emergency landing after hitting a flock of ducks.
The Boeing 737-700 that Conoco Phillips uses to carry oil field workers to the North Slope was forced to land Thursday in Fairbanks after the windshield was cracked.
Per the FAA...no one was injured, and the plane landed without incident.
They started in Anchorage, stopped to pick up more in Fairbanks, but flew into a flock of about 50 ducks after taking off from the Fairbanks International Airport.
The FAA said the windshield has three layers, and the outer one was cracked. The inspector guy said an engine cowling was dented too.
