Are people starting to wake up?

Are they noticing how incompetent and utterly clueless this Administration is?

Are they starting to rationalize the danger in bringing the worst terrorists to American cities to be detained and tried and maybe released?

Are they getting concerned that Obama would rather play golf on Memorial Day during a Year that the country is fighting foreign wars then to spend it somberly and solemnly reflecting on the courage of our bravest?

Are they begining to question the wisdom of outsourcing the response to Kim Jong Il's reckless testing of Nuclear weapons to the UN?

Are they recognizing the danger of allowing a President to take control of Corporate America, especially one that sides with the Trade Unions instead of with the Investors that are protected under the law?

Are Americans reflecting on the Facts that Dick Cheney laid out about our security pre and post 911 and are they begining to question the wisdom in returning to those pre-911 mindsets and procedures.

Have they concluded that Obama and Democrats like Pelosi and Reid are continually trying to redact history and rewrite it with a pro Democrat political spin which have uncovered their own deep seated anti-Americanism?

Hopefully the trend continues.

Imagine what his ratings would be were it not for the unending barrage of blatantly pro-Obama news coverage.

55% is his overall approval rating, down significantly from some other polls from several weeks ago showing his in the high 60s. Hopefully, this is a good sign and a leading indicator of the future trends.

I don’t see it that way... only 31 percent strongly approve that is the hard left Wackoo base.

The ones that somewhat approve are usually the independents and they are starting to get scared because 9 out of 10 of them see Obama’s reckless spending and the issue of nationalized health care as a prescription for destruction of America.

Still not 0 yet but is this an aberration or this a preview of coming attractions for Obama. I frankly don’t know. I would be inerested in getting FR opinion on this.

"Are people starting to wake up?"

No.

That poll still has an overall approval of 55%.

The “strongly approve” crowd are indeed the far lefties,

and they haven’t been getting what they want - repudiation of Bush policies, investigation and incarceration of Bush admin officials, etc.

So, they are dropping from “strongly approve” to “mostly approve”.

I think it is a preview... Of course he had a lot of good will when he ran as a moderate Conservative in the campaign. Many couldn’t tell the difference between McCain and Obama on the issues and he is a Silver tongued liar so people that are easy prey voted for him and fell for the BULL.

Slowly they see he is a radical. In fact you can almost visually see him living out one of Jeramiah Wrights sermons. His apology tour in Europe claiming American agression? vice proclaiming America the hero by risking everything to make Europe free. His apologies to Latin America and his lack of correcting the record when anti-American leaders slander America. His reckless do as I say edicts with no fore-thought on how or why i.e., “CLOSE GITMO” “SEND MORE TROOPS TO AFGHANISTAN” “END INTERROGATION” This is simple pandering to his far left wackoo nut base and Americans are starting to wake up.

...Obama would rather play golf on Memorial Day...

Are you saying that The Kenyan was not at Arlington National Cemetery yesterday???

How disgusting.

First year I have not watched the ceremony...could not face watching this hypocrite pretend to honor the fallen heroes. Could have watched after all if he was not there.

Notice though, that the percentage that strongly disaproves is going down, while the number that strongly approves is going down at about the same rate. It is looking like, compared to a month ago, fewer really hate him, but fewer also really love him.

If it doesn’t rebound by the end of the week, I’d expect another prime time news conference will be forthcoming. The last two have come after dips in this poll.

This is GREAT news!!!!!

It's meaningless. Just represents "strongly" feelings. Gallup has obama steady at 64% with disapprove around 30%. Moreover today the Consumer confidence # jumped month-to-month by the largest amount in decades.
