I must admit, I was taken aback by this when I first saw it a couple days ago. But, since then, I rather believe that 0bama does, in fact, fear the military. In reality, he should be sore afraid of the great silent majority of the populace, the folks about to wake up to his LibTard, Marxist march to Socialism and (hopefully) bring it to a grinding stop.

A common law nation that cannot tolerate its military officers wearing ceremonial swords in the presence of its civilian chief executive is in big trouble.
Common law nations depend upon the concept that the military is subject to civilian control. That necessarily means that military officers, as a matter of military honour, maintain loyalty to the constitutionally constituted civilian authority.
There is a bond of trust between the civilian authority and the military. This order is a breach of that bond.
Wouldn’t it be interesting if 100% of the class brought their swords and was denied entrance.

The groom was in the military and his platoon was coming to the wedding as well as many of his friends from his four year military college.
Teresa H K attended the wedding, but John was told NOT to come.
I know John was told not to come because of his disregard (to say the least) of the military.
I always got the feeling that something might have happened to him if he had attended. Some VERY tough military men in attendance at this wedding.

The policy is stupid, but is it new? I’d like to believe it is, rather than reflecting long-standing paranoia on the part of the secret service. W made a ton of appearances to military bases and service academies. Can anyone who knows verify they, specifically those on or entering active duty, were NOT ordered to disarm prior to seeing their Commander-in-Chief? Once we’ve verified that the secret service has indeed raised the standard of protection for their chief charge, then we should demand that high standard be maintained against all historically plausible threats. There has only been one successful physical attack on a President in the past 25 years. Before entering His presence all press must remove their shoes!
