President Hussein and Mrs. Hussein are reportedly removing portraits of presidents past from the White House and replacing them with abstract art.
Remember, in Cambodia, when the Khumer Rouge took over, they declared it to be "year one," and removed all references to the past.
Abstract art rather than pictures of Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln? Yes, those oppressors, in Obama's mind, represent the stale US past

I dont know about the presidential portriats but I do know there was a thread earlier today saying that they were getting works of arts from minorities to be displayed at the WH.

Turnabout’s fair play. I imagine that future Presidents will be taking down at least ONE pres_ent portrait. He was just trying to set an historic precedent; it’s his MO.
I wouldn’t those eyes watching ME if I were him doing what he’s doing, either. In his shoes, those portraits would be creepy, or at least, accusatory.

Morning TOL, as I mentioned in an earlier post. I do not know if some of the presidential portraits have been removed but I do know that they are replacing some of the art work with work from minorities.
It will be very sad if he took the painting of Dolly Madison off the wall because she is the one who rescued the portriat of Washington when the Brits burned down the building.
That git has no sense of history.

If the reports of Michele removing Dolly Madison's portrait are true, they absolutely have no sense of history.
Dolly Madison's formidable social skills were a huge asset during the War of 1812 when she gave innumerable parties to keep up morale. But she is credited with an even moire significant achievement. Immediately before the invading British burned the White House, Dolly saved the original draft of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, along with Stuart's portrait of George Washington.
